1935 Ford Other DeLuxe Description

1935 Ford Model 48 DeLuxe rumble seat Cabriolet

I am very proud to showcase this gorgeous vintage '35 Ford DeLuxe Cabriolet. This special car has a lengthy Texas history dating back to its early days in San Antonio. Most recent, the car was owned for 30 years by a gentleman who restored & updated the car to drive with regularity and at distances. This car features a stroked performance Flathead V8 along with an upgraded Columbia 2-speed differential. This car is a proven road veteran. It has toured the country, driven to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and did a lap, then home again to Texas (plaque to commemorate it). This is a classic convertible that you can drive somewhere with confidence at highway speeds. I hope you enjoy this presentation as much as I enjoyed working with this car. These are real Kelsey-Hayes "Bent Spoke" type wheels, fitted with wide whitewall tires all around (6.50x16s). The exterior paint is showing some age & road use, there are some minor paint imperfections, nothing major. Again, this is a car that has been driven & shown. It cleans up beautifully. The body is all steel and in great shape. According to the long-time previous owner, this car has been in Texas its whole life. The finish is Cordova Tan.

1935 would be the first year for the Model 48 body style. Warmly received, nearly 800,000 Fords were sold for the model year, surpassing Chevrolet as the sales leader. Rightly so, this design was gorgeous from the grille to the tail lamps. Few of these 2-door DeLuxe Cabriolets were produced (48-760 Body Type)

This engine has had plenty of miles logged on its latest build and shows no signs of slowing down. This robust Flathead V8 features a 4.0 stroke along with an Isky 330 Cam, Adjustable Lifters, Offenhauser Aluminum Heads & Intake, Triple Stromberg 97 Carbs & a Mallory Ignition System. Setup for power and reliability, combined with the upgraded guts 3-speed manual transmission & built Columbia 2-speed overdrive rear axle, this '35 has no problem cruising at 70mph.Be sure to play our video.A screw-on type external oil filter keeps the oil clean while the fuel line setup is nicely done with hard lines and braided lines, etc. The engine compartment displays excellent metal throughout the firewall and core support. This car is very sound in both structure and mechanics.

Open the doors to 1935.
The interior features beautiful vintage '35 Ford gauges, all functional. The Banjo steering wheel is in beautiful shape, wrapped with leather. The brown leather seat upholstery is in good condition, showing some of its age. There is a tear towards the top of the seat on the passenger side (see photos) The rumbleseat upholstery is in excellent condition.

The Greyhound V8 Ford Ornament is still in place.

The convertible top bows are in excellent condition, believed original. The soft top shows its age but is serviceable as-is. The rear window is glass & the surround is polished.

Don't forget to winterize your classic Ford. This car's Greyhound ornament is wearing its sweater.
