1966 Ford Mustang Description

Up for sale is another badass from my private garage. An absolute street machine 1966 Mustang with SUPERCHARGED 331ci Stroker motor pushing well over 500hp via Performance Automatic C4 transmission with manual valve body and nodular steel rear end with 35spline Strange axles. For those not familiar with these items…this is 1000hp rated stuff, the best on the market, pro-stock NHRA racing stuff… in other words, bulletproof.. This car is built super solid for driving and racing with roll cage w/safety harness and full frame. It’s very drivable with brand new 3.00:1 gears and high performance 5 leaf mideyes.

The 331 Stroker was built couple years back with Scat forged rotating assembly, blueprinted and super solid, zero vibrations, no leaks, smooth ‘criminal’..

It’s been supercharged with Weiand 174 blower topped with Holley supercharged-spec carburetor. The engine alone was 8k and supercharging it cost another 5k… This motor is super strong and super smooth in all RPM ranges. Very drivable car as documented in the video I just made on 11/19/16

Nice motor is nice to have but if you don’t have the right transmission, it can only go so far. This C4 from Performance Automatic with manual valve body is superb. Full manual shifting. No automatic mode. B/M ratchet shifter provides instantaneous up and down shifting so fast, you blink and you miss it shifted. WAY FASTER THAN ANY MANUAL TRANS… Instant shifts, bitchin! No kicks, no wining, simply smooth performance what you’d expect from a tranny of this caliber.

Also very important are the rear gears. Typically, people put 3.55 gears in 3 speed car thinking they will go faster. Well, maybe first 100 feet… The opposite is actually true, especially if you have +500hp at your disposal. All you have to do is to press the gas pedal.. So, I had brand new gears put in just last week, using nodular steel rear end and 35 spline Strange axles. This stuff is bulletproof and most importantly, you can actually drive a 3 speed car {which cannot be said about 99% of C4 3 speed cars out there, trust me}. This thing will do 0-60 in 1st gear yet it will cruise 85mph comfortably. Perfect combo and like I said, daily driver or weekend racer.

New wheels, brakes, rear suspension. Note in some photos I still have the track bars and old leaf springs but I just swapped them on 11/19/16 for high performance springs which greatly imporved handling and also lowered the car 2 inches – perfect stance is everything.. It also has new fluids as the supercharger was put in with new intake seal.

New tires on American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. These are actually 2 piece wheels that have been custom made for maximum tire without tubbing the car. Rear rim is 17x9.5 with 255/40/17s.. Very snug fit with zero rubbing and aggressive stance.

Race seats, reclining and on rails, very comfortable and supportive. 5 point safety harness and roll cage. Driving this car is SO much safer.

Custom console housing the B/m ratchet shifter and various gauges and switches. Push button starter. Car fires right up cold or warm on first crank. Nicely tuned and ready to go on day one.

Superb body work. Excellent panel alignment with high end paint. Only very minor imperfections in paint, still very stunning and very nice show car finish. Has 2 unfortunate chips but 99.99% perfect.

Solid undercarriage with super solid floors as shown on numerous photos. Very very nice. It’s been obviously driven so the bottom is slightly dirty but very solid with no repairs needed whatsoever.

Same goes for the rest of the car. It is turn key in every way. Dependable street machine.

If you wish to own a car like this, you have two choices. Jump on this opportunity while you can OR built it yourself. And I can tell you it cannot be build for the asking price, simply cannot. I’m a private enthusiast with with great sense for design and I’ve been told many times my cars are one of the most attractive machines out there for the money. Don’t waste time ‘watching it’ on eBay thinking with time, the price will go down. It will not. And it will sell fast too, they always do.
