1968 Ford Mustang two tone blue interior, black vinyl top Description
1968 Mustang coupe, 289 V8, C4 automatic, factory A/C, Cragar SS wheels or original Ford styled steel wheels, your choice. Black vinyl top, 67K original miles. Excellent condition! Originally a California car, it still retains all of its original sheet metal. Never any rust or accidents. It has been repainted in base-clear to it's original color, diamond blue with black reflective side C-stripes and black vinyl top. It needs to be seen to be appreciated as photos really don't do this car justice. The underside has not been restored and you can still see the factory primer drips on the floor pans. The original engine is gone but a period correct 289 was completely rebuilt and upgraded with a little higher compression ratio, a slightly more aggressive cam and a factory Ford 4 barrel intake and Autolite 4 bbl carburetor added. It has dual exhaust with a nice throaty rumble. The doors shut with a nice solid sound and gaps are nice. The interior has been restored with new carpet, seat covers, dash pad and instrument housing with everything else in the interior cleaned and re-used. The original bumpers are in good condition and the chrome still shines brightly. AM radio works fine. Original pop open gas cap.
It is the nicest driving old car I've ever owned and I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. It would make a great power tour car and is a fantastic cruiser. Take the family for ice cream or go to the cruise-in with style. It has won numerous awards including several best of show. If you are interested I strongly encourage you to come and see this car in person. Please do not bid unless you intend to buy. If you have questions you can email me at ohiofirelt@yahoo.com. I have owned this car for several years and it's given me many miles of trouble free driving. I have tried to describe it honestly. Thank you.
