1985 Ford Ranger XL Description

This truck has had a ton of money dumped into it recently. I am having trouble uploading photos, but if you contact me I van e-mail some.
I have had several of these little diesels. They are fantastic trucks. This is an original 4d55 Mitsubishi diesel truck from the factory. Factory air, cruise, power steering truck. All new brakes, u joints, and spindle bearings. The new wheels and tires I will be keeping for my other diesel ranger. I will put a factory set of Ranger wheels back on this truck as well as 30×10.50 tires that will hold air. The topper in the photos I will be keeping. The seat I will be keeping, but I will put in a good bench seat for a Ranger.
A few months ago I imported a brand new factory direct 4d56 Mitsubishi diesel engine from Maximum Overdrive in British Columbia, CAN. I must warn EVERYONE who purchases anything from this company to beware. A professional mechanic installed the new crate engine. All was great at first. Even with 4x4 I averaged 35mpg. On the 4th morning on my way home from work truck shut off like a key. It never overheated. Oil pressure never dropped. It just shut down. Engine locked up. Maximum Overdrive refused to honor the warranty. My machinist said it will probably need a rod and a piston to be repaired. I suspect a possible oil passage being blocked as a factory defect. These are fantastic engines however on general principle. Please email me more questions or photos. 4x4 was redone. Transmission shift. Drove like a new truck. I have $5200 alone just in this crate engine + fees to import by freight from Canada to the US. Heads, block, etc. are brand new. This is not a remanufactured engine.
