1995 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe Description

This is a one of a kind Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe. They only made 524 of these in this style. I don't know how many are left, but I'm guessing not many. These cars were very different from the standard Thunderbird. Some of the things they had, the plain models didn't were...
* Independent rear suspension
* Electronic controlled shocks... activated by a switch on the console, or it will activate automatically by fast acceleration, hard braking, fast cornering, or after a certain speed.
* Inter-cooled, roots style supercharger... this car is FAST!!
* 140 MPH speedometer
* Boost gauge
* Ground effects
This car also has the optional power sliding moon roof. I have also added a few things to it. The most unique is the hood and front effects. The front bumper is new from Ford and is a 1996 model (I just thought they looked better) The lower front ground effect is from Xenon. The headlights were changed to the 1996 type and clear corner lights were put in to replace the factory yellow ones.
The hood is a modified Cervini brand hood. Cervini does not make a hood to fit the 1996 (or 1995) Thunderbird, they only make them for the older models, so I took their hood, cut the front of it off, right in front of the scoops, and hand made the nose with fiber-glass. It is finished and painted on the inside just as slick as on the outside. This is a ONE of a kind hood!!
The side ground effects are stock for this car. The rear ground effect/bumper is new from Ford to fit a 1990 Super Coupe. (again, I just thought it looked better than the stock 1995).
Other modifications on the body... I removed all emblems, trunk key lock, and door handles to give the outside a smooth, sleek look. The doors open by remote control.
Inside, I started to completely restore it and it is almost 100% finished. It has new carpet, new headliner, and new dash panels. I also replaced the front seats with seats out of a 1990 (MUCH more comfortable than the 1995's) and then had them custom re-upholstered in factory leather WITH custom SC emblems in the the headrests. Sun visors, door inserts, and moon roof cover still need re-upholstered. And the plastic trim at the bottom of the seats needs repainted to match (the 1990 color was different). I also have new weather seal for the moon roof, but have not installed it yet... it will be included.
Speaking of seats, the seats are 6 way power on the passenger and drivers side (another reason I switched to 1990 seats, the 1995's were power only on the driver side). They have air bag lumbar supports in the back, and air bag side bolsters that squeeze you in tight. Once you are in these seats, you don't move even in hard cornering (which this car does great!!) These seats feel like racing seats, but soft and comfortable ... the best of both worlds!
Other interior modifications are the Pioneer indash AM-FM-CD player and the HURST short throw shifter.
Motor and driveline modifications...NONE, it is completely stock and it runs perfectly. You can see in the picture of the motor that there is a coil of wire on the drivers side. This is power wires that I ran for the stereo I was planning to install, but I never got around to it and the wires are not hooked up. Also you can see on the cowl that there is plastic trim missing. I took it off to do the body work and have not re-installed it. They are in great shape and will be included.

If you are looking for a RARE, FAST, FUN car... look no further!! AND, because it is a 1995 with a 6 cylinder, it gets good gas mileage, and insurance is cheap !! But don't let the 6 cylinder fool you, it will out run MOST V-8 cars!
This car is ready to drive anywhere in the U.S., however it does need some TLC in a few areas. It is NOT a new car, but it is VERY nice! The car has never been in an accident and it is rust free.
