1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 350 Fastback 6S2073 with 79,051 Original Miles. This car was sent to Larson Ford in May of 1966 being the 42nd from the end of the Hertz cars and shipped from Torrance, Ca. on May 16th, 1966. Originally a black with gold stripe Hertz car, it was found damaged in 1970 by Donald Sorich in St. Louis, MO. He rebuilt it to "R" model specs using a Built original numbers matching K code Fastback donor body, 4 Speed trans, 4 wheel disc brakes, 65 Style exhaust, SCCA Maier fender flares, R style front apron, and side scoops molded into the rear quarter panels. As much of the Shelby was used including all the glass and the Detroit Locker rearend. Donald consulted with Rick Kopec in Indianapolis to assure his rebuild would still be a "Shelby." This car is in the Registry as a rebodied Original Shelby GT 350. The Pony Interior seats and door panels where kept from the donor car. It was then purchased by Bill Bufka who owned it for two short years before he sold it to Dennis Wilson both in the St. Louis area. Dennis Wilson owned it from 1988 until the Current owner purchased it back in 2013. The 79,051 miles are original and it has been inside since 1970. The paint is 43 years old and still shines but does show its age on close inspection. It was raced by Donald Sorich and Dennis Wilson. It is a beast to drive.
