1998 Ford Contour LX Sedan 4-Door Description

1998 Ford Contour - Selling as a parts car. I bought this car for my daughter in 2011. It served her well all through high school and college. This car has only 69k miles on it. It was used as a government transportation car in Florida before we bought it - there is still the remnants of the government sign that was on the side driver's door. It was well serviced by the government AND by me since my daughter got it. It has new battery, 4 new tires and the air conditioner works fantastic. It also has an after market CD player with MP3 hookup. Teenagers like this.
It shows some wear and tear on the outside: some minor dents on the rear bumper and a door ding on the passenger side around the gas tank. There are some white spots on the roof and hood...it looks like calcified soap. I rubbed one of the white spots off so they may be removable with serious elbow grease. They didn't come off at the automatic car wash.
The interior is in excellent condition. No rips or tears in the cloth seats. The dash board is well lubricated and devoid of any cracking. The electric windows are weak but work.
This is being listed as a parts car because I've noticed the transmission has been slipping the past month. It currently stahled out when it ran out of gas so it needs gas to get it running again. I would plan on towing it but if you can get it started it should run. The last long trip I made was 7 months ago down from Ohio. It's an extra car that basically sits except for occasionally taking our dogs to the dog park. Let me know if you have any questions. The Kelly Blue Book value is around $1600 so there should be plenty of money if you want to part it out or fix it.
