2013 Ford Explorer Base Sport Utility 4-Door Description
Ford Explorer Base Model | 2013 | Silver Exterior | Primary/Only Owner | No Major Accidents | 29K Miles | Very Good Condition
I purchased this vehicle in April of 2013 for my wife. Since then, it has been her primary mode of transportation to work and to tote our kids around. I'd like to get her into a new vehicle soon so we've decided to sell this one to get closer to that goal. We have sold vehicles before on eBay so my aim is to be completely transparent and up front. We have a perfect rating on eBay and plan to keep it that way! :-) With that said, here goes.
She's had two accidents/mishaps since driving it.
1) The passenger side mirror broke and was replaced. The receipt for this is in our "Ford Explorer" folder, which will be given to the new owner, at the time of the sale.
2) Around Thanksgiving of 2015, she was in a minor fender bender, with no engine or major damage. We had new fenders put in and will include that receipt in a folder, to share with the new owner. A photo of the damage has been included in this listing to prove that it was only cosmetic.
Here are some other bullet points, worth sharing:
- We are the original and only owner.
- A new battery was put in recently, OCT/NOV of 2016. I can't find the receipt but it was purchased and installed at the AutoZone in Clawson.
- A "door ajar" issue was fixed, under warranty. Paperwork will be shared.
- A remote starter was installed in October of 2013. Paperwork will be shared.
- We have both of the remote starter remotes to give the new owner.
- One rear brake pad and rotor was replaced in July of 2016. ($297.14) Paperwork will be shared.
- Highway MPG = 28
- City MPG = 20
Since my wife will still be using it, and our kids will be in and out, some of the pictures posted here will look cleaner than at the time of pickup. However, we'll do our best to keep it clean/tidy, until it sells! Also, please plan on the mileage going up a bit, between the time of this listing and the sale date. It won't go up much but I want to be up front that it will be driven from now until it's sold, so the mileage will go up a bit. At the time of this listing, the mileage is at 29,277.
We believe the car is worth more and will sell higher than $16,000, based on Kelley Blue Book. However, that is the minimum reserve we are setting on this auction so that only serious buyers will bid.
I'm happy to answer any questions.Thank you for looking!
Note: Please be sure you want this make/model before bidding as there will be no returns or refunds of any kind, after it is sold. Once the vehicle leaves our house, and money exchanges hands, we will consider the Explorer "officially sold as-is".
