1995 Ford Taurus Description

5 spd 1995 Ford Taurus SHO with a few suspension upgrades.
I am the third owner of this vehicle. The vehicle is originally from Arizona and was owned by the original owner for 18 years. The vehicle was then traded in. The second owner bought it at a auction in Arizona and owned it for a few months. I bought it via Craigslist from the second owner and had it shipped from AZ to Jacksonville.
NOTE: The speedometer was changed by Ford at 77,876 miles and now has 185030 miles for a total of 262,906 miles.
The bad:
- Scruff on front bumper.
- Front passenger tire has slow leak (all tires are older and should be replaced).
- Driver seat is falling apart.
- Front passenger seat starting to show age.
- Headliner falling apart.
- Burns/leaks a QT of oil every 1000 miles.
- 5 speed transaxle grinds when going into reverse, common issue.
- 5 speed transaxle leaks a little bit.
- Starter motor sticks once every few months.
- No hood struts do to strut tower brace.
I have performed the following work to the car since I bought it:
- Timing belt, cam shaft seal, cam sensor, crank sensor, water pump, spark plugs, injectors, valve cover gasket, spark plug tube gasket, coil, DIS module, and spark plug wires were changed when I bought the car.
- DIS module relocated to prevent heat soak/premature failure.
- Dual core radiator was installed and all heater/radiator hoses were replaced with silicone hoses (SHO Source). No overheating issues in traffic with AC running in middle of the summer. AC & Heater work perfectly.
- Front camber plates (SHO Source).
- Ingalls rear adjustable lower control arms (SHO Source).
- Front & Rear strut rod bushings upgraded (SHO Source).
- Front and rear strut tower brace (SHO Source).
- Solid sub frame bushings (SHO Source).
- Front struts = Adjustable Koni Inserts with adjustable springs.
- Rear struts = OEM struts with adjustable springs (needs to be replaced).
- Battery relocated to trunk.
- Upgraded brakes with SS brake lines (SHO Source).
- Rear brake portioning valve deleted (SHO Source), ABS still works, no brake issues.
I have some spare parts.
No modifications have been made to the motor. All power windows and power locks function as they should.
I only have the key for the ignition. No trunk key. Only access is via trunk release lever by the driver side door.
Comers with a set of 17" alloy rims. Comes with a bunch of spare parts including spindle bearings, struts, gaskets, etc.
