1931 Ford Coupe Hot Rod Hignboy
1931 Ford Model A Description
This is a well built, all steel 31 built mainly by a custom, hot rod, race car shop in Minnesota. The chassis is a work of art using 2x4 construction with a dropped tube axle, suicide mounts on split bones with transverse spring, panhard rod and Vega type steering. Rear is a Winters QC using late Ford tubes and axles with posi unit, 3.73 final ratio on quarter eliptic springs, lower radius rods from a 47 Ford front suspension, panhard rod and adjustable shocks. Engine is a nice running, 010 casting 350 with mild cam, Edelbrock carb and electronic ignition. Transmission is a Richmond Super T-10 with Hurst shifter and hydraulic clutch. Radiator is Walker, hood is easily removable for a different look, fuel tank is about 11 gal with a Holley pump and pressure regulator. Under the seat is a AM-FM-CD player with a remote Amp and the heater is mounted behind the seat with duct work. The body is a nice, clean unit chopped 3 inches and channeled a bit over the custom frame. The car has 4WDB the front being GM units and the rear are late Ford Cobra/Explorer and an E brake is installed. All glass in recent as is the interior and the top. All electronics seem to work as intended but for the purpose of full disclosure the wiring itself is a little sloppy and not up to my standards although admittedly, I am rather picky. Wheels are new dual pattern 16s using Firestone bias ply tires, 6.00-16 in front and 6.00/6.50-16 in the rear. The car does not have a wiper currently. This hot rod starts, runs and stops very well and I am sure could be driven just about anywhere with confidence. Title is a clear and open Iowa item. I also have a set of AR polished Torq Thrust wheels and Nitto tires available for the car for an additional $750. No trades on this one.
