1997 Ford F-250 XL Description
Hello all, for sale is my ford pickup. ive owned it for a few years and it has hands down been the best truck ive ever owned. never let me down or stranded me. never been on a tow truck or had to get un stuck from somewhere. just going a different direction with my projects and this truck is just a little too much for what I need. if you have been looking for a crew cab short bed 4x4 with little rust and mileage just over 200k, you know how hard they are to find. I bought this truck bone stock at 186k miles and have done all the modifications to it over the past few years. I have a book of paperwork and receipts to prove all the work done( as well as paperwork from the previous owner). I will add more pictures as I go. if you are serious about buying it simply ask for whatever it is want to know or see and I will happily provide it for you and be straight forward and truthful. I have provided the most details i can think of at the moment, but I am sure I'm leaving stuff out. so here it is:

206,0xx original miles (truck sits a lot during the week but I do use it on the weekends. so mileage will go up)
Tags paid and good until march of 2017
Drivetrain:
-7.3 Powerstroke V8 diesel (all stock and original internals)
-DIY napa intake filter and custom stainless intake tube
-Riff raff intake tube connectors with peterbilt style hose clamps
-New fuel pump (less than 1 year old)
-Rebuilt fuelbowl assembly
-All new fuel lines and clamps
in fuel bowl valley
-Baby Swamp injectors professionally installed around 13 months ago
-All new glow plugs, harness, and valve cover gaskets installed at same time as injectors
-New vacuum pump
-New alternator
-EBPV deleted
-3" to 4" stainless down pipe
-4" straight through exhaust (all stainless) with chrome 5" tip off a peterbilt
-TS 6position chip with custom tune from swamps
-Fuel tanks front and rear both replaced with brand new units less than a year ago (this included new screens on the pickup feet inside the tank using only OEM ford parts)
-E4od automatic trans all stock
-Manual transfer case
-4:10 gears with LSD in rear end (fluid drained and replaced less than 1 year ago along with new VSS)
-4 wheel drive fully functional and works great
-Monroe shocks at all 4 corners around 2 years old
-Air bags on rear leaf springs to assist when towing
-Tow hitch receiver with new grade 8 hardware
-7 pin plug
Exterior:
-Factory white paint (jams are white)
Id give its condition a 7 out of 10. It is a nearly 20 year old truck so it does have a few dings and blemishes. But overall still looks great. The truck was built in canada then shipped over the border and has always been a west coast truck. No major rust anywhere.
-Chrome front and rear bumpers in great shape
-Chrome grille and headlight trim in great shape (all oem)
-5% tint on all windows as well as camper shell
-Snug top camper shell with sliding windows. New screens for windows, new shocks for rear glass. Carpeted inside.
-Spray in bedliner inside bed as well as on tailgate
-All LED lighting minus the tail lights(stock)
-Clear headlights (with 6k HIDs) and marker light / turn signal lights
- 5 led cab lights (clear lens, light up amber)
-5 led rear "cab lights" on top of camper shell (clear lens, light up red)
-3 "penny lights" under tailgate (clear lens, light up red)
-3 "penny lights" in the grille (clear lens light up amber)
-2 led reverse lights under bumper that come on when truck is put into reverse
Interior:
- I would give the interior a 7/10 as well
-Grey dash, door panels, and upholstery
-A/C and heat work perfect
-Custom fabbed and vinyl wrapped center console that houses 3 cup holders and 12" subwoofer (not hooked up)
-Manual locks and windows
-Rubber floor mats for easy cleaning
-Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth
-Rockford fosgate speakers all around (2 months old)
-LED lights inside
Wheels and Tires:
-Robby Gordon off road 17" streetlocks (true chrome not polished aluminum. I also have the 4 bead lock rings for them just havent been powdercoated and installed)
-35x12.5x17 Toyo M/Ts (E rated) with tons of tread life left
THE BAD :
-the ebpv leaks drops of oil when running. this is do to the ebpv not being connected and went bad. you can either remove the pedistool, remove valve, and have it welded up, or put on a non-ebpv from a 99-03 powerstroke. I just never got around to doing it
other than that I would not hesitate one bit to hop in this truck and drive it across the country tomorrow. gets great fuel mileage, gets lots of attention, and has plenty of pep for a fullsize truck.
I am asking $17,000 obo for this truck. I am willing to take some off the price IF I keep the Robby Gordon rims and or tires. if that is something that interest you let me know. other than that I feel like that is fair priced for everything that has been done to the truck and the fact that some of these are selling for 20,000+.
