1951 Ford F-100 Description

Hello all. Looking to sell out 1951 Ford F-1. I'm going to call it a project due to the fact the engine and trans is currently out of vehicle. Here is the story of the truck. My parents purchased the truck years back. I had the privilege of driving this truck home. The previous owner removed the drivetrain 3 years before.....too me, and replaced it with a 351m and c6 trans. Unfortunately hedid it the cheapest way possible. He cut the original engine mounts out as well as the center portion of trans cross member to make room for the modern drivetrain. The engine was outfitted with an aluminum brace, I'm going to call a cradle and laid it into the engine compartment. wasn't even secured! Needless to say my father and I could not allow that. Modern drive train removed. I obtained original engine mounts as well as a cross member. The wire loom, which was spliced with the 351m loom, was removed and replaced with the factory wire loom. wheel cylinders, brake pads replaced. master cylinder rebuilt. Our intentions were to re-install original engine as well as the top loader trans. Unfortunately my father became ill and build placed on hold. During downtime my father lost his leg so the build had changed and intent was to replace original trans with a modern automatic / overdrive but still utilize original flathead. Block sent away to have inspected, which was returned with a clean bill of health. New weather striping / sealsobtained. New mirrors, new piston rings, gasket kit, new rear tail lights, 2 deuce D&S aluminum intake, and a few others. Decided on a color of Rootbeer Candy but then my father passed away. The truck went into storage and that's where it sits. I don't have the heart to continue on with the build. I have tried, kicked ideas around but I know I will never finish it. Just not the same. The truck is extremely solid. Frame looks like new. I haven't placed the cross member into the chassis since the idea was to put a tubular member to accommodate a modern trans but is there waiting. Engine block is still on engine stand and is awaiting rebuild. Original intake is present as well. I did find some bondo on the front fenders. Front of fenders have a body seam where 2 panels meet. Previous owner I guess wanted to smooth transition between the 2 panels. applied for purely cosmetic reasons. All glass solid and intact. The front grill is present and in great shape. Its currently painted black. Didn't reattach it because I wanted interested parties to see all details. The paint job I will give a rating of a C+. The previous owner painted it with a single stage paint. Not a BAD job but there is some overspray on weather striping as well as orange peal in a few spots. Could be worked out but I'm anal when it comes to paint. I do have a buy it now price set at 4300. I also have it posted locally. Its a rock solid truck! If there is any additional questions please feel free to drop a line. I am going to try and post more picture in my cloud so all can see. If the item does sell I have no problem holding the vehicle until buyer can pick up. Thanks for looking. Be safe
