This beautiful Mustang is finished in silver with black interior. It has a 4-speed top loader manual transmission with Hurst shifter and 85,000 miles. A true classic and exceptional example of American engineering.
This car was purchased earlier this year at a Barrett Jackson Auction in Palm Springs FL for $9350 (with over $2800 invested since - excluding $600 ship, $600 tax, $100 registration, for a total of $13250). In pictures it looks like typical silver, but in person it looks more like the picture taken at night. The color is more of a silver/light gold. It is a really nice color!!!
The car was cosmetically excellent, with new paint, stripes, and new black interior. Very close to show quality. I can only find very minor rust behind paint on underside of 1 door, (beginning to bubble) and in a few very small areas in trunk.
The car is very powerful due to the 351 Cleveland Engine, 4sp tranny, Hurst shifter, and Holley 4 BL brand new carb with electric choke being installed this week. (replacing existing Holley 4777).
The Marti report shows car originally had auto tranny, 2BL carb, and AC. Date codes on 4sp and previous carb show that changes were made in early 1970s. The AC was also removed, but vents and AC controls still exist inside the car.
In last 6 months I have invested about $1650 in parts and $950 in labor. All done by one shop at a very reduced rate. I can provide full details, MARTI Report, Original Ford Invoice, Numerous original brochures, sales material, and 5 volume 1972 Ford Mustang maintenance manual set in mint condition. I also have 2 sets of wheels – Original factory (see Barrett Jackson Pictures), and a set of Mustang Bullitt wheels. Original working AM only radio in trunk
New parts include: Holley aluminum 4BL carb, electric choke, brakes, rotors, shocks, springs, PS pump, PB master cyclinder, PB booster, brake line diverter, emergency brake, new / brighter cluster gauge light bulbs, cluster gauge dimmer switch, Bullitt wheels (plus original wheels) 1972 AM/FM radio, Alpine amplifier, speakers (have not cut any holes for speakers yet), plus much more. Gave the Auto Clinic an open checkbook to updaye anything. T6 auto tranny being considered.
I am only selling this car so I can purchase an automatic mustang, perhaps with smaller 302 engine, so that my wife and daughter can also drive it. I am close to swapping the 4sp manual with a T6 rebuilt auto transmission, but it seems such a shame to remove the rare Hurst shifter and 4sp top loader tranny.
i am trying to sell car for what I paid plus additional parts and labor. I am not including the $600 to ship, $600 in sales tax or $100 to register. I am open to reasonable offers, as well as trade for an automatic in similar condition. I can drop the $550 I paid for the bullit wheels and tires
