I am selling this Bronco for a friend. He has owned this since 1985 when he bought it from the original owner. The original owner had the Bronco repainted red white & blue for the Bicentennial in 1976 as you see it in the photos, it was originally light blue. The Bronco was originally sold in Nevada and has spent the last 6 years in New Mexico, meaning this Bronco has been in the desert/high desert for all of its life. Look at the many photos, this Bronco is RUST FREE!
My friend is selling for 2 reasons, he says he is getting too old to take the time and money to restore it and also, he wants the money to put a new crate motor in his old F150 that he purchased new.
The 302 fires right up and runs smooth with no problems whatsoever as you can see & hear in the videos. The dual exhaust has no leaks and has a great sound to it. In 1995, with about 100K miles on the original motor, my friend had a Ford dealership in Nevada install a brand new Ford 302 crate motor, the 302 that is currently in vehicle. Since then he has put about 30,000 miles on the crate motor, about 2000-2500 miles per year. He has used it exclusively for hunting in the mountains of New Mexico, where the Bronco is titled and currently resides. The right front fender and grill was replaced with factory Ford sheet metal after his son had a slight mishap. The drivers front fender damage was a result of kids trying to steal the wheels, the drivers front wheel lugs were loose and it destroyed the wheel and damaged the fender when my went down the road. Extra parts come with the Bronco including a new fuel pump, nothing is wrong with the current pump, my friend just likes to be prepared when hitting the trails. Also includes a hi-lift jack.
The transmission was gone thru and serviced. This was originally a 3 speed on the tree, he had it converted to a 3 speed on the floor with a Hurst shifter. It has a Centerforce 2 clutch and the radiator was changed from a 2 to 4 core for better cooling, a necessity with the heat out here in the high desert. He upgraded the engine with a better carb. The rear is a posi-traction rear end. The suspension has been upgraded with a Bronco Specialties K Bar S heavy duty dual shock and spring setup. The Bronco has a dual fuel tank setup, tanks have been replaced. A new battery will be installed for the new owner. The tires are shot. Install some new tires, give it a good once over and this Bronco is ready for a road trip!
Again, this Bronco is a rust free, unmolested original! Perfect for restoration, resto-mod or drive it as a daily driver as it sits.
