Extremely Rare 1977 Ford LTD Landau Special Edition. 85,000 original mile, unrestored survivor. The car is NO ordinary Landau - is actually an extremely rare special edition 1977Ford LTD Landau sedan with paperwork showing it is a DSO (Dealer Special Order). They came only in that color, cream exterior, with the cream and blue piping interior. It came out half way through the 1977 model year and was the most expensive and most rare of all the 1973-1978 LTD Landau sedans. This is NOT a Canadian Import this is the real deal, this is a Twin Peaks Plant car.
Strong running 400 2 barrel engine, automatic transmission.100% original. This car runs very smooth (carb has been refurbished by National Carburetors in Jacksonville), with lots of power and doesn't burn any oil. The paint on the car is 100% original and even has the original hand painted coach lines. The car has never been in an accident. The interior is clean, with no rips or wear, all the carpeting is original, comes with original floor mats and some over carpeting that I have put in for further protection. The bottom of the car does have stone/rock chips, would be a perfect car if the bottom half was blended in to cover the rock chips, but I decided to leave it original. The Landau top is in excellent original condition. Cold factory Air Conditioning (latest refrigerant) and everything works, including Cruise Control. Even has original CB Radio what was a factory option in 1977 and signature high quality leather interior. I have recently put 4 new white walls on the car and the spare has only run around 2000 miles, the window seals are perishing but not leaking and the electric seat control is broken but I have a replacement to go with the car.
It has been said that you can restore a car a thousand times, but it is only original once. Survivor cars are truly special, rare finds in the collector car world. This is one of these cars.
If you like the authenticity of original painted sheet metal, the smell of original leather, the sound of original exhaust and door closing, with all numbers matching, properly date coded assembly line components, and feel good preserving a part of automotive history, then this might be a car to consider.
Re-advertisingdue to a non show - verydisappointing
