1996 Ford F-250 Description

AS IS 1996 Ford F250 7.3 Powerstroke 4x4 Extended Cab Long box. Automatic Transmission.Was my father-in-law's truck but he passed away and I'm listed it for my wife's family.My father-in-law did not drive the truck the last three years. I bought a new battery and my brother-in-law used it to haul garbage to the dump. I then drove it 120 miles from New Ulm, MN to Hudson, WI. The drivers rear leaf spring is broken and there is a lot of rust on the truck as seen in photos. The passenger door will not open and I suspect it is due to the lock being frozen down. The tires are weather cracked. There is some slop in the steering. The drivers seat cushion is in bad condition (torn ripped and duct tapped). The interior is dirty and he was a smoker. There is one spare tire under the truck. The ABS and Brake Lights are on and the brake pedal goes to the floor. The truck does not stop well and I would recommend towing it until fixed. When driven from New Ulm, MN the truck started hard and hesitated on acceleration. It also blows white smoke when first started. I has now sat since September, so I do not know how it will act upon restart. Rest of the body has some scratches and some bond-o. Tailgate doesn't latch on one side. The shift lever for P R N D had the end of it fall off and the Overdrive off button is missing.Everything else works to my knowledge except the cassette player. It does have a 5th wheel hitch ball in the bed. Mileage may have increased since this posting if anyone test drives it.Again, you are buying it AS IS and I would recommend towing it back.You are welcome to come take a look before bidding. With the brakes in the condition they are I would not recommend driving it.No Reserve!I don't know much more about the truck but will try to answer as best as I can.

If you’re local please stop by to look at the truck in person and test drive it as well. Due to age and miles the vehicle is sold “as-is”.
