1963 FORD FAIRLANE --"Red Rocket"--Great Driving Car
1963 Ford Fairlane Description
1963 FORD FAIRLANE
Mechanically GREAT. Just had brakes done, new tires/wheels, tuned up, oil changed. Had replaced radiator/hoses, etc. Runs/starts on a dime. Heater runs well, there's a funky air conditioning unit which may be aftermarket (?), which actually blows cold air. Radio works. A great running car.
Body: looks and shows very nice. Has a fair amount ofbondo and a few places where it could use touch up work. If I was keeping it, I'd re-chrome it and get body detailed this year, and consider paint job and body work next year. If it doesn't sell, I'm going to dothat, drive it another season, and sell next year.
JUST ADDED A PHOTO OF THE CAR WITH THE WHEELS/HUBCAPS. SOMEONE ASKED ABOUT THEM, AND I NOTICED THAT AN OLD PICTURE HAD BEEN POSTED THAT HAD HUBCAPS THAT WERE NOT ORIGINAL. WE FOUND A MORE AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL SET OF WHEELS AND REPLACED THEM. THE PICTURE OF THE CAR WITH A YOUNG MAN IN IT HAVE THE ACCURATE, CURRENT WHEELS AND HUBCAPS.
Comes with a nice "factory/dealership" brochure (vintage). Plus a FORD PIN, if you like ephemera. Ready to drive away!!!
Nothing to apologize for here--just a great old vintage car that turns heads at car shows and on the street. Reliable, sound, nice.
See it in NE Ohio, zip code 44514. Message me for details or questions....
