The First Generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford Motor Company from 1964 until 1973 with this body style. Ford soon realized that the first cars were under powered and immediately began production of the Mustang with the new upgraded 289 engine in the middle of 1964.
This particular “Plated” Ford Mustang was one of the first cars off the assembly line in Dearborn, MI in June 1964, with the upgraded 289 engine.
The first owner, a Canadian Resident, bought this car for his daughter as a graduation present from college. She didn’t like it, so her mother used it for a few years as an everyday car. The car was then stored for a couple of decades before it was purchased as an early, high school graduation present for a young man in upstate New York. He used the car for a few years then moved away and was unable to take it with him. So, it was stored by his parents and once again sat for many years until it was re-sold to me.
I am the third owner of this “Classic Mustang”. It currently has about, 35,000 original miles on it. This car is considered a “Survivor Car”. It has many original parts as well as some non-stock upgrades / parts. (Like a disc brake conversion kit and the sporty rims and tires from the Ford “Boss” in the 1970’s.)
Everything mention above and in this listing is accurate to best of my knowledge. I encourage all interested parties to do their do diligence before making and offer to buy.
