It has done the parades, the car shows and the Club tours – now it’s time for her to get back to her roots and work on a Ranch or Farm hauling hay or bringing crops to the Farmers’ Market. With the upgraded 12 volt electrical system it start easily and runs strong. All gauge and systems work as they should. Heater and defroster fully functional.
I purchased this truck in May of 2012 from a hot rod builder in San Diego who had purchased it at the Barrett Jackson Auction in Las Vegas with the intent of rodding the truck. He paid $33,000 for the truck at auction and then realized it was too nice of an original truck to rod and decided to sell. I purchased the truck at a deep discount, which allows me to sell for way less than the previous auction price.
I have replaced only items that needed to be replaced (water pumps) based on wear and have reupholstered the seat and upgraded to an alternator and 12 volt system.
This truck runs strong and is used as my tour truck. We have driven this truck up to 300 miles in a weekend and have never had a problem. Lower fenders, and probably other areas, have rust through and were repaired with bondo. She needs some metal repairs to be perfect. Pictures do not show the full stake gate for the rear but it is exactly like the others, all original wood repaired as needed.
