1966 Ford F-100 Description

1966 Ford F-100 pick up truck. Short bed w/ 352 V-8, 2bbl, & automatic transmission.

Mechanically sound.Fires rightup & runs strong. It has 4 wheel manual drum brakes & manual steering, so it drives down the road the same way it did 50 years ago. It was originally a 3 on the tree, but has been converted to a 3 speed automatic w/ floor shifter. I assume its the C4 transmission. The clutch pedal is still in the truck, it was that way when I got it.

The tires are good. The suspension is okay. I don't think much has been replaced recently, but it doesn't seem worn out. The steering doesn't have an excessive amount of play in it. It does have some slop as they all did, but nothing major. The steering doesn't bind hard when turning, which from what I've heard is a common problem w/ these twin I beam trucks, but the camber & alignment seems to check out good to me, but the steering wheel doesn't align up w/ the direction your headed. It just needs to come off & be put back on right.

The body has had some patch work. The floor pans have been replaced w/ reproduction pans and the two front corners of the truck bed ( on the inside floor of the bed ) have been replaced. The rest of the body panels look clean & straight to me. I wouldn't be surprised if it does have some patch panels in the usual places, but I can't see any signs of the body work, so if it does, they did a good job.

The paint is a matt black finish. It gives it a nice hot-rod look. The interior needs to be completed. The seat was recovered, but the rest of the interior needs finishing.

This is a mechanically sound truck that you can use as a daily driver while you finish the cosmetic work and make improvements to the performance.

Please don't ask about the reserve, but it's priced low for a quick sale, just offer what you are willing to give for it. If you have a bad feed back or are new to eBay, I might reject your bid, unless we talk first.
