1988 Ford Mustang Description

This is a rare non-modified smog exempt 1988 California notchback (I have not hadto smog this carfor the 3 years I have had it registered). This car does have the original motor, but any motor can be put in this vehicle. Yes, it is smog exempt in California. It has the mass-air motor and did not come with airbags, which is good. It came with the 85 mph speedometer, but I just changed it out to a 140 mph speedo, the 85 mph console will come with car as well. The coupe isthe lightest body style of mustang 5.0s.

Things done do the vehicle. New wahlbro 255 fuel pump, fluidyne aluminum radiator, black magic radiator fan. New cloyes timing chain, waterpump and timing cover, belt. Chain did not break, timing cover was just leaking coolant before. Changed to ford motorsport valve covers and just put new PCV components on last week. Has less than year old Ford OEM TFI module, so don't worry about getting stuck somewhere. The best improvement to the vehicle was I added a 2.5 in catback borla exhaust, which sounds great. Stock catalytic converterswere hollowed out and smog pump eliminator put on. I put new seals on the doors and trunk lid, but didn't get around to putting the seal on the door windows, but they are included. Painted oil pan and put new gasket and new motor mounts. Hard to tell because white color, but a body respray should be considered in the next year or so. Visor clip is missing too, refer to picture. I believe there is a slow leak from the rear main seal as well.

Just had a baby, so consolidating down to onemuscle car, 1969 F100 with 460 stroker.
