1993 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Description

This is an all original 1993 Reef Blue Mustang 5.0, 2 door coupe. Is has 41,728 original miles and is a 5-speed car. I have owned the car since 1995 and it has always been covered and garaged.
The original spark plug wires are in a box and say 1994 on them. They say 1994 since it is a late production, August of 1993, and Ford apparently ran out of the 1993 spark plugs so they used the 1994 ones which they were getting ready or production of the new 5.0 mustang.
Again, car is all original with the exception of tires and window tint. The window tint was on the car when I got it and I just left it on. Never been in an accident and clean CarFax and clear title. We lived in Houston for a number of years and I applied for a duplicate title so that I can keep the original one I was issued.
After purchasing the car in 1995, it just basically sat in the garage. I did not put it in a bag until about 4 years ago. Bag and cover go with the car.
Interior is perfect and everything works, I think. I am for some reason thinking a door lock solenoid or switch may need replacing. Also, the map pockets are sagging as usual.
Engine fires right up. I only start it about once every 1 or 2 years. No rust other than the occasional surface rust on the differential, driveshaft and exhaust. Does not come with the battery. You will have to supply your own battery. Missing sticker on coil cover. I think these are available and easy to get.
No dents on body, just as expected minor imperfections for a 41K mile car. There are one or two spots on the door jams that may need touch up. The molding around the doors and windows are perfect.
There is some paint splash on the fender wheel well but I think it is an easy clean up. It has chrome Pony R wheels with 17x9" in the rear and 17x8" in the front. The tires are 255/45 rear and 235/45 front. I have the original 16" wheels that came with the car. They are included along with the spark plug wires and a few other small items. I think there was a recall on the ignition switch for those cars and I kept the one that was replaced.
First owner I think was an undercover police officer since it was registered in NC and racked up 26K in its first year. The reason I believe it was used as a HWY pursuit vehicle is because the coupes were very commonly used in the Carolinas and it had 93 Cobra brakes on it, and CB wiring. I removed the brakes and put the stock ones on and removed the wiring to make it all original. I have a copy of the original title and tried to contact the original owner. I sent several letters out but never received a reply. Also, from the vehicle history, you can see that it was not registered until 1994 with 26K miles. I believe state owned vehicles do not show a registration history until they are sold at auction.
The 2nd owners were a young couple that kept the car for about a year. It was the wife's car and wen she got pregnant, they decided to sell it.
In the pictures, especially the ones of the engine compartment, you will see Lithium grease sprayed all over. I did that to preserve the nuts and bolts and protact the creavaces and body seams. Someone who is good at detailing will be able to make the engine sparkle.
In summation, this is a very original, clean, unmolested 93 5.0 coupe. This car flat gets it. It moves. Its not perfect, but for someone who is
good at detailing cars, it will take very little to make this car perfect and over the top.
Key features:
  • Last year of the FoxBody
  • Built in the last month of production (Maybe one of the last coupes built in 1993)
  • 1993 only color of Reef Blue, code PD (Not teal)
  • All original
  • 5-speed
  • Low, original miles of 41,728
Car is being sold as is, no warranty. If you are shipping the car, you will have to be here to do that. I will not deal with shipping companies.
You will have to show up in person to take care of all paperwork. All funds have to clear Pony R Parts business account before vehicle and
title are released.

I have copies of all issued titles showing that my wife and I have owned the vehicle since 1995. I also have copies of the titles with the original and previous owners.

I just want to update a few things. Some general and some in response to particular questions that people have emailed or called about.
Driver side door lock switch does not work. The solenoid is fine since the passenger side door lock switch works. The passenger switch letter "L" is a little faded. Rest of interior is perfect.
Found to small door dings on rear quarter above gas tank fill door but on driver side. No other door dings on doors or anywhere else. They are very small and I did not notice them at first. You have to look at them at the right angle to see them. Do not ask for pictures, I tried to take a picture of them but they do not show up. Easy fix for a good Paintless Dent Removal guy. He can access the back side of them from the trunk area.
Front lights are original and no show signs of hazing.
Also, please note that the Autocheck score is 49 which is well above the normal range of 13-37.
If you have bid and any of this is not to your liking, I will cancel your bids no problem. I just want to make sure I completely disclose everything about the care since there has been interest from people outside of FL.
