1932 Ford Roadster All Steel HighBoy Hot Rod
1932 Ford Other Description
Here is an all steel, 1932 Ford Roadster Hot Rod that has accumulated 15k+ miles, definitely not a trailer queen so all the bugs have been worked out. A recently completed 100+ hour renovation has included but is not limited to a complete new fuel system starting with a RCI cell with remote fill, all stainless, aluminum AN lines and fittings, fuel shut off, cartridge filter, auxiliary electric pump, pressure regulator with gauge. At the same time was added a new Optima battery with remote touch pad activation along with a Steves Restoration rolled pan, powder coated exhaust and new Wilwood clutch master and slave. Yes, this is a real hot rod with a clutch pedal and a BW T45 5-speed in front of a Johns 9" with 4.10 gears. This rear has just had new axle bearings and seals. The chassis is a complete Pete and Jakes with 4 piston Wilwood front disc and 11 inch rear drums, 40 type rear buggy spring, P&J master, chrome pedals, Deuce Factory tie rods, all braided brake lines and a functioning Locar E-Brake. Engine is a built .030 over 1984 350 with MSD ignition, Holley intake and 650 carb, Tayler wires, Dart heads, roller rockers, Comp 274 cam, fluid damper, Speed Pro Hyper pistons, shot peened and smoothed rods, iron crank, Moroso 7 qt. pan, standard flywheel and clutch, Hurst shifter, SS headers, Walker radiator, Cooling Components electric fan. I am told the whole rotating assembly was balanced and the block blueprinted during construction. The body is a steel Rod Bods, now Denver Deuce they tell me, and it is without a doubt the best I have seen on a hot rod. With the solid firewall, full steel floor and the round tube cage throughout the whole body there is virtually no cowl shake. The doors and trunk shut like a luxury car. The windshield is chopped 2 inches, hood is Rootlieb, shell Brookville, insert stainless Vintique and the body has a functioning cowl vent. Top is Bopp Top style, Hartz cloth 32 that will fold down or can be removed in one piece. Paint is single stage British Racing Green. Head lights are So Cal arrow, tail lights 48 Chev and there is a very nice set of snap in side curtains for the inclement weather. Interior includes a steel 32 dash with engine turned 53 F100 panel, P&J bare bones gauges with tach, Bell 4-spoke wheel, Vintique turn signals, very nicely done 32 3W glove box, German square weave carpet, tan leather and new seat belts. Wheels are new ET 5-spoke with new BFG tires and there is also included an as yet unplated but nicely completed frame mount head light bar should someone like to change light mounting. Headlights are now mounted on the shock mounts and are perfectly fine as-is. Title is a valid NYS transferable registration/title in my name with a correct 32 vin number stamped in the frame in the correct place. As always, no test pilots and no replacement cars considered except possibly a numbers matching 67 Vette or similar Sunbeam Tiger.
