1966 Ford Mustang NO RESERVE AUCTION Description

We are Euclid Car Co. at 1231 E. 286th St., Euclid, OH 44132. We have been in the used car business for over 40 years and we love to sell cars on eBay. The buyer gets a car he or she wants, and the dealer gets a car sold. Don't participate in the auction if you're not 100% sure you can pay for the car when the auction is over. We depend on the sales of these cars for income to our used car lot. eBay considers the winner to be in a binding contract with Euclid Car Co., so any non-paying bidder will be reported to eBay. Please do not call us when the auction is over to tell us:

"My wife won't let me buy the car."
"I hit the button by mistake."
"My son or daughter bought the car on my account and I don't want it."
"The car is too far away, I don't want it."
etc, etc.
We only accept wires, certified checks, and cash. We do not take deposits, Paypal, credit cards (cash or debit), or checks in the mail. We will not deal with a loan from your bank. All cars must be paid for within 3 days of the auction ending, no excuses. Please make sure you have the funds available before you bid on our vehicles. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this, and we're sure that all other car dealers feel the same.
If you're the lucky winner of our auction, we will email you immediately to congratulate you and give you our number, 216-990-3880 (Lou). Most of our auctions end between 7 PM and 10 PM. We would like a call from the winner within 12 hours of auction ending so we know that they are a real buyer. If not, we will offer it to the 2nd highest bidder. If the original winner has still not contacted us after 4 days they will be reported to eBay as a non-paying bidder. Thank you again for reading.

This is a no-reserve auction, which means that the last highest bidder when the auction is over will win the car. Every time you bid on the car keep in mind that you have an opportunity to be the owner, so your bid means something.

We encourage all bidders to stop out, personally examine the car and drive it for themselves. If you can’t personally make it out to check out this vehicle, simply find a local mechanic to look at the vehicle and give you a personal report on the condition. Ebay also offers a service like this! Please do this BEFORE bidding on the vehicle!

This is an as-is vehicle, which means that once you buy it, you own it with all faults (known or unknown). With the purchase of this vehicle, the buyer will pay for all repairs. We sell all cars as-is, which means you will pay all costs for any repairs. The dealer assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.

If you need a 30-day tag, it’s $18.50. We handle the transfer of the title. We will also have to collect the tax for your county if you live in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, and South Carolina.

We would like the vehicle picked up from our lot within 7 days of auction ending. There will be a $100 paperwork fee added on to the final sale price of the vehicle, along with a $15 title fee. By Ohio law, we must transfer this title into your name. The reason being is that if we would just send you the title and it was to get lost, there would be a problem. Or if we would send you the title and you didn't transfer it for several years and it got lost, it would be an even bigger problem. We follow the law of our state and will make sure that the title is transferred correctly for all customers. We will not pay any shipping fees, but we would be glad to assist your shipper in picking up your vehicle. If you have any questions, call Lou at 216-990-3880. Good luck bidding!

Thank you for looking at our classic car. We are offering for sale a 1966 Mustang Convertible. This car is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was purchased there in 1994 by the person I bought the car from. He only put 12,000 miles on it in 23 years. It was basically just a car to go get ice cream in or take a ride through a park or parade. Then it went back in the garage. This is a rare Mustang because of all the factory options that it has.

First of all, it has the 289 engine with a 4-barrel that runs on premium gas, factory air conditioning, and flow-through exhaust that comes out below the bumper. It also has a console and a factory wood grain steering wheel, not like the fake ones you see on other Mustangs. This car has factory power steering and the original wire hubcaps with spinners. The car is red with a red interior and black convertible top. It also includes the parade boot that you see in a lot of the pictures. Also included is the original owner's manual, a bunch of books on Mustangs, a parts book, and a VHS tape on Mustangs. Inside you will find many receipts about work done on this Mustang in past years, all in a box in the trunk. We still have pictures of this car in the showroom from 1994 in the trunk as well (a copy is included in the Flickr link below). It looks no different today, still a beautiful car from bumper to bumper.

Now getting back to the car, the car is all red with a red interior. The interior is in great shape, and so is the body. The trunk is very clean and all solid, and the spare tire is almost perfect. The engine purrs like a kitten. When we purchasedthe car last fall, we replaced the radiator, heater core, hoses and water pump, because we wanted to make sure there would be no problem driving this car if you took it on a trip, since everything was old. We also brought the car to an interior shop. We had brand new carpeting put in, and there were a couple rips in a couple seams that were correctly repaired.

It came with a Blaupunkt AM/FM CD Radio with speakers that were incorrectly mounted. I had them taken out and bought brand new right and left kick panels with speakers that were made for this car, and had them installed. We put in the best speakers available. They costed about $200 for the set and the radio now sounds great. We also replaced the cables for the heater, because they were kind of stuck from not being used (this car was only used in the summer, not the winter). All lights work, horn works, wipers work, turn signals work, radio works, heat works, but the air conditioner does not work. It may need a charge, but it is the original factory unit from 1966. Front end is good, brakes are good, engine runs fine and it drives nicely down the road. You can go 60 to 70 MPH with no shakes or vibrations. The doors open and close just like a glove. The trunk opens, closes and locks easily. The front hood works exactly the way it should.

You can actually get in and drive this car home, even though I would not suggest it this time of year unless you live very close. I definitelywould not suggest driving the car in the salt, because the reason it is so nice is because it was never driven in those conditions. I would also like to mention that front and rear bumpers on the car are in fantastic shape, the convertibletop also is in very nice condition (but it is 25 years old). The top was basically put down in 1994, and that's how it sat in the garage for 23 years.. But then again, it's such a nice car, how else would you want the car to be? There is no cracked or broken glass on this car, and all the windows work correctly. The top is not power, it is manual. One person could do it easily, and that could get expensive to fix if it was power. So we believe, considering the age of the vehicle, the manualtop is probably the better way to go.

When this car was purchased in 1994 from the classic car dealer, the person I bought the car from told me the story that the salesman/owner told him. He said the floors and frame on this Mustang (what little frame it has since it's all unibody) were 100%, hands down the nicest he's ever seen. There is zero rot that would ever cause a problem with the unitized body and frame. We have many pictures showing the underneath of the car and the frame, so once you see it you'll understandwhat we're talkingabout. Who wants to buy a nice car and start welding the frame together? Without a frame you have nothing. Back in 1964 through 6, that was the main problemwith these cars. And being that this one here is all original, never messed with, and never fixed, we know that will mean a lot to the new owner of the car, because it meant a lot to us when we bought it.

This car will be sold to the last highest bidder 7 days from today. Anybody who would like to come out and see the car can, and also can drive the car (weather permitting). If you like the car so much that you want to buy it and not wait until the end of the sale, we would like to entertain any and all offers for our beautiful Mustang. There's not a lot of these listed int his condition with these options. We'd love to show it off. And again, if you'd like to send your mechanic to come check it out beforeyou bid on the car, that also would be fine.

Thanks again for looking, and

GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS!
