1978 Ford F-250 4x4 Crew Cab Description

If you're reading this, you already know how awesome and rare this truck is. This is a 1978 Ford F250 Crew Cab 4x4. It has the 400 engine, very similar to the 351M, and the C6 automatic transmission. It has the column shifter. I bought this truck about 18 months ago and it has been my project. I do not have to sell it but I just feel it may be time to move on to other projects. It has new paint with a new front grill. It has new true dual exhaust with dual Flowmaster mufflers. The inside has been Rhino-lined. I have replaced much of the trim such as door panels, window handles, drip rails, side mirrors, and badges. It has the original seats but I had them recovered and had the Ford Logo embroidered on them. I replaced both fuel tanks with brand new ones, in addition to the fuel lines so you can be sure the carburetor is getting good clean gas. I believe this truck is also rare because it came from the factory with Dana 60 axles in the front and the rear. I upgraded to a HEI distributor. I replaced the floor pans, but this truck is not a rust bucket. I have the framed Marti report which shows this has always been a South Carolina truck. I believe it was used to haul race cars to the Laurens Motor Speedway in Laurens, SC. I also have the original build sheet which I found behind the dash and I also have it framed. I have driven this truck approximately 90 miles a few times, and it has never let me down. It has the factory power steering and it works great. I was considering changing the dash from the stock version to a diamond plate dash with new gauges so I have a brand new set of Dolphin gauges that go with the truck in addition to some Ford Racing valve covers and new valve cover gaskets.
This is a beast of a truck with a lot of great years left in her. My intentions were to build a slightly custom show truck but I'm ready to move on to other projects and I think its time for someone to enjoy this truck.
To go along with this classic truck, I'm throwing in my classic boat: 1967 Larson All-American w/ the original 60 HP Evinrude motor 15 ft with trailer. I had it tuned up last year and took it out last April. Ran great. Just add a battery and some gas.
Two American classics in one auction. Happy bidding and good luck!

This truck has a Dana 44 front axle, not Dana 60. But it did come from the factory with the Heavy Duty Towing Package option. Thanks.
