1974 Ford F-100 Shortbed 4X4 Description

Rust free, Southwest, good running, cosmetically original, beautifully patina'd 1974 Ford F-100 Custom short bed half ton pickup truck with a similar vintage F-250 Highboy engine, manual transmission, and divorced transfer case swapped in years ago. This is an old desert Southern Utah ranch and farm truck which is owned by a friend of mine who collects old trucks and came from what he is pretty sure is the estate of the original owner. His wife is asking him to thin out his collection so he asked me to sell it. I'm the Ebay go-to guy in my neighborhood.
The body is rust free with original paint. It's not perfect by any means but is wonderfully patina'd and could (should?) stay in it's current condition forever. I just think it looks cool with 40 plus years of wear. It would be a shame to alter it cosmetically in my opinion. Two vintage Unity Mfg. Model H1 spotlights have been mounted on the roof. A period correct Bimco ranch bumper guard is mounted up front. Vintage 15x8 white spoke rims complete the look. All the glass is good and the doors open and close very solidly. Most exterior lights work. Tires are old and should be considered rollers.
The interior is equally original. It even comes with vintage KH trailer brakes, an AM/FM/8 Track player and a FrigiKing in-dash AC unit. Upholstery is in rough condition as are the door panels and dash pad. Fortunately they are easily replaceable and inexpensive. Dash is original with no visible cutting or butchery. Gauge plastic has become faded. Windows roll up and down properly. Passenger door handle is broken (inside handle only) and sticks sometimes. It has an additional gas tank behind the seat.
The running gear is rock solid. Engine is a 360cid V8 (with Cherry Bomb dual exhaust) mounted to an NP435 4 speed manual. The transfer case is an NP205. Front axle is a high-pinion Dana 44 mounted on coils and rear is a Ford 9 inch differential. Definitely the Holy Grail running gear combo. The F-250 Highboy divorced transfer case crossmember was bolted in so frame is unmodified with no welding or cutting. It also has power brakes (they work but not very well) and power steering. Engine runs well but I can hear an exhaust leak on the passenger side. 4WD system works properly and battery is new.

This beautifully patina'd short bed 1974 Ford F-100 Custom 4X4 pickup truck is located in the dry, desert community of Santa Clara, Utah(about 125 miles north of Las Vegas).
