2001 Ford Ranger XLT Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door Description

A fully driveable project... clean title and includes smog cert!
This Ranger has been reliable transportation to and from work for the past 8 months for me; I'm the 3rd owner; starts every time and the engine doesn't smoke or burn oil; steering doesn't pull left of right even when braking; headlamps, blinkers, brake lights all work; stereo and CD player work; A/C blows cold, tires look ok... they have approx. 30,000 miles on them; next oil change is not due for another 2,500 miles.
Below are the issues that I'm aware of:
Previous owners were in three accidents with this truck. However, the title is clean, NOT salvage or rebuilt.
The automatic transmission is a bit touchy after warming up and driving for a while and then placing the transmission in "Park." Then when you place the shifter back in "Drive" sometimes the transmission slips, kind of like it's trying to figure out what gear to select. If this happens, place it in 1st gear and it takes off just fine, then when you're up to speed just shift back into "Drive" and after that it drives and shifts up and down just fine in traffic. Also, sometimes when taking off from a red light it'll slip a bit and you'll feel a little clunk before it catches and starts moving... this is intermittent, and I got used to it pretty quickly. The transmission fluid is pitch black. The issues with the transmission have not gotten any worse in the past 8 months of driving the truck, I have not changed the fluid fearing that it might hurt more than help.
There's a drip under the motor/transmission area, not major, but a drip nonetheless... not sure if transmission fluid or motor oil, but an oil drip mat for your garage is recommended before the drip is fixed.
The driver's side door latch does not work (door must be opened from the inside), nor does the tailgate latch (tailgate can be opened with a screwdriver)... both parts can be found here on eBay fairly inexpensively.
Right taillight was cracked and the previous owner put it back together with Krazy Glue.
Paint is peeling and faded at a couple of places, various parking lot dings and dents.
Front bumper is not mounted on straight.
The truck is being sold as-is where-is. I've mentioned here everything that comes to mind... this little truck has taken me back and forth to work, and all over Las Vegas over the weekends (my mom likes to go to yard sales) and has never left me stranded. I'm going to miss it, but the wife bought a new Jeep and gave me her old car, so we just don't need three vehicles.
Any questions prior to bidding, please don't hesitate.
