You are looking at an original 1967 Ford Fairlane GTA. Real GTA not a clone. The original color was Candy Apple red exterior with red interior. The door tag info is 63D=2 door Hardtop GT, Color T=Red, Trim, 8D=Red rosette vinyl, Date 111, DSO 21= Atlanta, Axle 1=300, Trans W=C4 3-speed automatic. The vin is 7= 1967, A, 42=GT model, C=289-2V engine.
The car is in good condition overall. All work was done several years ago but the car has only beendriven a few times a month. And, has been kept in and enclosed garage.
The engine is a Fred Jones 302long block. Mild cam, aluminum intake, 4 barrel Holley 600cfm carb, pertronix ignition, and long tube headers with mufflers but no tail pipes. The car is somewhat loud andsounds like a hot rod. Your neighbors will know when you come and go! Mileage shows 50048. The mileage was around30000 when the new engine was installed. The engine runs good, doesn't smoke or burn oil. Starts up every time. Does not run hot even in our South Georgia heat. Has an electric fan. Has power front disc brakes. Does not have power steering or ac.
The interior is nice. New carpet, seat covers, headliner, back tray and dash pad. The door panels are original to the car but still look good. The cluster panel is original. The radio is original. The console is original. There are no extra holes anywhere. A3- gauge pod is mounted under the dash for alt., temp., and oil pressure. The speedometer works. The gas gauge works. The heater works. Winshield wipers work. Windows work. All the lights work. Brakes are good. Drives straight and tight.
The transmissionwas rebuiltand hasa shift kit. Has a B&M racket shifter in the stock location but is barely noticeable. The transmission shifts good but does not have the kick down lever.
The paint is older single stage enamel with 3 coats. Driver quality thatlooks good but is not perfect. Has some orange peel and a few blimishes to finish. I tried toshow it in the pictures but itdidn't show up that well. The worst is on the trunk lid. Body is straight with no dents. Bumpers are original condition with some oxidation to finish. All chrome and emblems are on the car. There was very little rust thru when the body work was done a few years ago. The floorboards are solid but have had some repair work done and there may be a few pin holes. The frame rails are solid. The wheels are painted magnum 500's. Tires have good tread.
I did a lot of work to my car about 10 years ago. I have 4 pages of detailed notes that will go with the car. The car is very dependable and could be an everyday driver.
