1996 Ford F-250 XLT Description

This is a very clean OBS 7.3 Powerstroke diesel. 1996 Ford F250 4x4, it isa crew cab withSWB which was only available for the 96' & 97' model years in this body style. It is an XLT, and the truck was about as loaded as you couldget in that era, it even has power mirrors.I bought this truck from an older gentleman out of Oklahoma, and it has spent its entire lifein the south, so rust is not an issue.Very well cared for and unmolested truck, that has been garaged most of its life.Only has 163K miles currently.The truck was never used for heavy towing, has not had a fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch installed in the bed, and never even had a brake controller installed.It has a Fordplastic insert style bed liner which was installed when it was brand new, therefore the interior of the bed under the liner is still in excellent condition as well.Never any accidents, all original paint and body panels. The original paint still shines very nice and does not have any peeling issues or anything of the sort. Runs and drives excellent, no mechanical problems, and no leaks.It did have a new transmission installed at 141,908 miles.It was installed at a Ford dealership and it came with a 3yr/36K warranty through Ford that is still good until March 14th of this year. I do havethe invoice as well as some misc. additional records for the truck.
The interior of the truck has never been smoked in, and the carpetstill looks literally brand new - no wear or stains at all on the carpet. You will see in the pictures that I have installed newer style seats, thesewere brand new 2016 takeout's when I bought them. They match the interior of the truck very well, and theyhave been an extreme comfort upgrade over the stock seats.There is still seating for 6, as the centers fold down into console/armrests both front and rear. The front seats are also heated, and all 4 have an additional/optional outer armrest that folds down and fits perfectly between the seat and door panel.The seats were professionally installed ontofactory Ford seat pans front & rear, therefore no drilling into the floor pansto install them. The height and layout of the new seats make them look like factory installed equipment, and the new seats have added a new-car smell back to the interior of the truck. I do still have all of the originalseats as well,and they are in excellent condition -I am not intending to include them in the sale of the truck, but I will negotiatea priceif the new owner prefers tokeep the original seats with the truck. The originals are 40/20/40 bucketsfor the front, and a bench with folding armrest in the rear.
Iinstalled a 4" Diamond Eye exhaust system (3" downpipe) last year as well as a Tymar intake that uses a large paper filter similar to those found on big trucks.Istill have the factory exhaust system and air intake that I will include in the sale if the new owner would like to have those items. Guys whoknow these truckswill know that those 2 itemswere weak points- the factory downpipe is prone to heat soaking the turbo, and the factory air intake is less than adequate at letting the ole 7.3 breathe the way it should.
There are just a few minor imperfections that I know of - thereis asmall touched-up scrape on the right rear by the bumper. There is a slight denton the right side of the rear bumper, and the front bumper is slightly bent on the drivers side. There are a few very minor door dings on the rt rear door (previous owner said that his wife caused those parking next to it in the garage). There is also a dent above the tailgate handle. On the inside, there is a very small crackstarting on the passenger side of the dash pad (1/4" or less), anda small chip/star on the top middle area ofthe windshield.These things are all in the pictures.
I am not a dealer, I am an individual who loves these OBS Fords. I was a Ford dealership mechanic when these trucks first came out, and I have always loved the OBS Powerstrokes since then. I have owned a number of them over the years, and this is one of the cleanest most well cared for 4x4's that I have come across in quite some time. I have been watching for trucks in similar condition and Ifeel that I am in the ballpark with my buy-it-now price, but I have also setmy reserve fora bit less.It is getting to a point where it is even difficult to find one of these trucks for sale, much less in this condition. I'm happy to answer any questions, take more pictures, etc.If you would like to have the truck inspected by a professional, I am more than happy to accommodate that as well. I am on the west side of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, about 30 minutes from DFW international airport, and I am also happy to pick you up from the airport.
I have a clear Texas title, it is in my name and the truck is current on registration. I will require a $500 deposit through PayPal within 24-hours of auction end. Balance must be paid in full before the truck leaves my garage. I will only take cash, wire transfer or bank certifiable funds - no exceptions.
