“This is the tenth year for the Mustang in its current guise, and the Ford engineers are so happy with what they’ve wrought that they’ve made virtually no changes for 1988.

The 1988 V-8 Stangs are ripsnorting stallions, with 225 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque under their hoods. Dip deep into their throttles at any rpm and the frisky Fords respond with a wallop of good old-fashioned American torque—enough to make you forget all about four-valve combustion chambers and high-tech turbochargers.”

The exterior of the Mustang is absolutely gorgeous. It is painted a stunning Oxford White with a White Convertible top and white leather sport seats with power lumbar controls. The body is laser straight. The paint is 99+% original and it is in outstanding condition. The body and trim are free from any dents, dings, scratches, or wear and the dated original glass is nearly perfect! The original convertible top is also in “like new” condition without any tears, cracks, or stains. In other words, it is exactly what a well-cared for car with 7,500 miles on the odometer should look, feel and run like.

The interior is finished in beautiful red factory carpet and trim with white leather sport seats. Everything inside is original. The seats, dash, console, and door panels are in excellent condition without any cracks, stains, or marks. Everything inside is in working order including the AM/FM/Cassette Radio, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Lumbar, Power Top, A/C, and Premium Sound System. The white tonneau cover fits well and is completely tear and stain-free. It even comes with its own original storage bag.

A dealer-option brand-new sealed and unused locking lug nut package is also included.

Under the hood, the 5.0L GT engine is rated at 225 HP and 300 lbs/ft. of torque and starts and runs as new, with the unmistakable GT rumble underneath. Everything is date correct and original.

The undercarriage of this Mustang is completely rust and damage free. The floor pans, frame rails, and wheels wells are in superb condition showing the original primer with Oxford White over spray. The factory exhaust system and mufflers are in place and in excellent condition as well as all the rest of the mechanicals. The only non-original piece is the battery, and the original (but non-functional) battery is available.

Having only **7,499** miles, this Mustang starts, runs, shifts, drives, turns and stops just like the day it was built. This fine GT is ready for a Car Show or a fun summer’s drive with the top down and sunglasses on! The original date coded Goodyear VR60 tires are in excellent condition, as are the brakes, wipers and all other soft parts.
