1965 Ford Mustang Description

My husband bought this several years ago to restore since he is medically retired from the U.S. Army. He has put thousands into new chrome and interior parts. Last year his injuries became too much for him to handle the rest. Had the car checked by our local mechanic and he said that the engine runs strong and the transmission shifts as it should. It is driveable right now, the brakes need to be bled. It has a bad shimmy when idling smooths out a bit when you get the speed up, and the mechanic said it was the torque converter. for a honest mechanic you could put $800-$900 in the car and it would be a sweet running and looking Mustang. The car is automatic but the clutch pedal is already installed for an easy swap to a manual, the pedal is not in the way if you want to keep it a V6. Not quite sure if the engine is original to the car, it is not the prettiest but runs strong. The headliner needs to be replaced (if you look closely at the pictures the chrome is not on around the front and rear windows, but will send the new window chrome with the car. The car is a solid car and head turner, drop a V8 and a standard transmission in it (like my husband wanted) and you have an inexpensive and great looking Mustang. The paint is better than good shape, but would have someone wet sand it and shoot another clear coat. I believe that's about everything, wanted to make sure you knew what you're buying. Also, not sure of exact mileage. If anyone who is interested go to watch Dogs of War on A&E and has a decent memory, you can tell by the pictures the car is in front of our house. If you want to know who you are buying from you can go to YouTube and look up Dogs of War Episode 1, that's my husband and family. The reason I wanted you to know was so that you know as a buyer this isn't some scam and you are buying from an honest family. The car is straight and really would be a great starter car for a person wanting a real collectible and be able to drive while making a hot rod if wanted. This car was listed before but got scammed. You will certainly will spend a lot less than what is in it. We are moving and must let her go.
