2004 Ford Focus SVT Description

I'm a crazy collector of SVT's and had previously offered this for sale but no one stepped up so Iendedup selling mySonic blue one low mile one and was content to keep this for a true seasonal/weekend car. Plans changed a little when my wife reclaimed the last parking stall in the garage when I chanced a drive on a rare 50 degree day. Maybe if I had scraped her windows after that last little ice storm it would still be inside. I need more space, that is all there is too it, so I put an offer to purchase a new house with a beautiful barn that’ll hold about 12 cars. Now I just need to raise the downpayment…

Low miles, all stock, not hacked up by a youngster. Just 58,000 miles on the clock and just barely 1000 miles on a fresh rebuild. Rings, bearings, seals, valve job, timing belt, water pump. It’s all been done as well as a new clutch. Went with a Spec racing single mass flywheel rather than the problematic OEM dual mass flywheel.

The interior is just beautiful. Reminds me of the room at my grandparents that no one was allowed in. Museum like. The leather steering wheel is the softest of any I’ve grasped, the shift knob has all it’s leather. Heated seats are stain free. 6 disc player is fully functional.

Just the right tint on the windows to contrast the beautiful CD Silver paint, original not repainted. I actually bought a factory bottle of touch up paint and could only find 2 spots to dab it on.

Usually when you buy one of these old SVT’s they need maintenance. That can add up quick, but this one need nothing, only to be driven!I’ve gone through it all since I was going to keep it for a long long time! In the last year I changed one front wheel bearing because of a slight buzz that was just beginning (TImken not a china piece). I just put on a new fuel filter, fresh pads and rotors all round last fall. The problematic‘cam bolts’ for setting rear toe are brand new and properly bathed in antiseize so they’ll remain adjustable forever more. The Toyo tires are at 9/32”. The header is straight. The thermostat housing is a new as is the coolant 'log' that runs across the front by the radiator. Both plastic pieces that 'harden' over time.

I hold a WI dealers license so if you are a WI resident you’d have to pay Tax/Title/Reg at time of purchase. Residents of any other state will simply receive the title signed and fully filled out on the back for registration at home. Fly in and drive home, or I can request a shipping quote for you.
