1951 Ford Other Pickups F-1 Description

1951 Ford F-1 Truck. We pulled the truck out of a barn about 2 years ago to find that it was last registered in the early 1970’s. We installed a 5.0 H.O. engine with serpentine belt system and Automatic Overdrive Transmission out of a 1986 Mustang GT. Yes, we kept the SEFI (sequential electronic fuel injection) system installed. The 6 volt wiring has been removed and replaced with the 12 volt harness from the 1986 Mustang.

·The original straight axle front end has been disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and reassembled with no defects noted.

·Front brakes have been upgraded to disc. The disc conversion kit came new from speedway.

·All brake lines have been replaced with custom fit new steel lines from speedway.

·Original brake master cylinder has been removed and a new Brake master cylinder and booster for a 1986 Mustang GT has been installed on the firewall.

·New rear drum brake shoes and wheel cylinders have been installed.

·Rear axle, Dana 44 with 392 gears, was removed, inspected, all bearings and seals replaced, and re-installed.

·Custom built drive shaft with new yoke and U-Joints installed.

·Fuel tank behind the seat has been removed. Installed 17 gallon aluminum fuel cell under the bed from LMC Truck.

·Installed fuel, oil pressure, and water temperature gauges from Glow Shift under the dashboard.

·American Shifter for transmission is installed.

·New Aluminum radiator with 15” automatic temperature controlled fan.

·New 15” Mickey Thompson wheels and Cooper Cobra tires. We have the original wheels that will go with the truck.

·Truck bed has a sheet of steel welded in the bed instead of wood.

·Steps have been removed, media blasted, coated with bed liner and reinstalled. The four attach points for the steps to the fenders have been cut out due to rust and patched with steel.

·Removed original battery tray and installed new tray under the bed just behind the cab on the driver’s side.

·Bench seat has a new vinyl cover installed from LMC Truck.

·Cab floor has been sanded and coated with bed liner.

·2 1/2” dual exhaust with flow master mufflers that turn down in front of the rear axle.

·New Driverand Passenger lap style seat belts.

·New front and rear shocks.

·New cab mounts.

·New shackle bushings and pins.
