1972 Ford Mustang Mach One Description

The realities of raising a young child and a lack of time are forcing me to abandon my amazing 1972 Ford Mustang Convertible.I have over $50,000 invested in this car and the right buyer will love it.This is the Mustang Ford would have built if they were doing performance convertibles in the 70’s.This car started as a perfect bodied, very low mileage 302ci/C-4 car with virtually no rust.It has always been garaged and was always someone’s weekend cruiser, hence the low mileage. The odometer reads about 20k more than actual as the speedo was replaced with one from a Mach One.

For starters, I upgraded the interior and exterior to every available Mach One upgrade including a working ram-air, the front spoiler and bumper, rear fascia, gas capand spoiler, dash, seats, gauges, etc, with part cars I drug home, or new purchases.I replaced the small block with a mildly cammed 1970 429 with a base shift kit C-6.The engine dynoed right at 500 HP.The interior was replaced as was the top and lifts.Disc brakes were added to the front as was a sub-frame connector to prevent body flex.It was also lowered.Modern 17" Mach One wheels are on it as well as radials.Acurrent stereo with subwoofer is included, as is a new aftermarket air conditioning system and gauge upgrades tastefully hidden in the glove box.The car has been driven less than 150 miles since it had new paint and was completed, which was about the time my son was born.Since then, it has been parked and only occasionally started and moved.

Completion only requires some adjustments and installing the interior trim, such as door panels.

This car is beautiful, fast, reliable and unique.I hope some will buy it and appreciate it the way I do.My first car was a 1972 Mustang.
