1996 Ford F-150 Description
for sale is a 1996 Ford F-150XL. I purchased this truck new in 1996 (one owner). I have the original manuals and dealer window sticker. I have a clean title ready to sign over to buyer. It has a little over 202,000 miles. It runs good, has automatic transmission. Has dual fuel tanks, factory am/fm radio, heat and defrost works great. Just needs VA inspection (in Virginia) and ready to drive. Just installed a new alternator this month and a new battery in November. All Metal and rubber brake lines replaced about 18 months ago. New radiator, muffler and tailpipe was installed about 4 years ago. Oil and air filter changes have been done on a regular basis. Its was a work truck and does have some rust, scratches, and dent on left side of bed. Also rear bumper is bent. Has towing hitch installed and comes with the receiver and 2" ball installed. Also includes the deep cross body toolbox shown in photos. Spare tire is in truck bed due to the towing hitch installed would have prevented it from being removed. Couple of cracks in the dash and driver side seat is torn up. AC lost the Freon a few years back from leak at the filler valve, and I just never fixed it. It has a small power steering fluid leak, but I am not sure where the leak is at. The front tires are in very good condition with lots of life left in them. The back tires still have enough tread for 6 months to a year depending on how much driving you do. There is a custom fit steel overhead console installed in the cab, that can be removed if desired. It attaches using the existing sun visor holes. I am also including a new top radiator hose, thought it had a leak, but haven't seen anymore signs of it since I purchased the hose. Also including 6 quarts transmission fluid, 2 new wiper blade refills, 5 quart jug of oil and oil filter, a new voltage regular (purchased and didn't need), and bottle of power steering fluid. I don't really use the truck that much anymore so when the alternator went up in November, I took it off the road. I thought it was the battery at first and replaced it, then found it was the alternator and replaced it (alternator has a lifetime warranty). I don't know of anything that would prevent it from going through Virginia inspection. The good thing about this truck is that being older, its a lot simpler and easier to work on than the newer ones and parts are a lot cheaper. I have edited a few of the photos to block out my old phone number, that was on the back window and that's why the large white area is on the back window. All the lettering will be removed in next few days and back window will be clear. A $300 deposit is due through paypal at time buy it now is used or my accepting a best offer.
