1931 Ford Model A Description

I am selling this all steel 1931 Ford Coupe – ONE OF A KIND .This car was completely custom built to resemble a car being built in the 1950s.Everything on this car has been custom fabbed, rebuilt or new. The top has been chopped 3 ½”. There is a 4” channeled floor and a 4” sectioned body. The rear quarter panels were lifted 4” to lower the body over the frame and the splash pans between running board and body has 4” taken out of them. The aluminum radiator is 4” shorter to allow hood to be correct and radiator shroud was cut down 4”.It has cross springs (banjo spring) in the front and the back. The front has a 1940 Ford straight axle. This car also has power front disc brakes and drum in the rear. This car has a Ford 8” rear end with a 355 gear ratio with posi traction and has 235 radial tires. The front has 205 radial tires with new Vintique steel wheels. It has a 302 Ford motor with Laker headers which tie into the dual exhaust out the back with cherry bombs. The motor also has electronic ignition, aluminum intake with a Holly 600 carburetor topped with aluminum finned air cleaner and aluminum finned valve covers to match. It has a C4 automatic transmission with a Lokar long stem floor shifter. There is all new wiring and fuse box which is a 12 volt system with all new lights.Headlights have sealed beams inside of original old lights. It has a canvas top.It also has a working tilt windshield. All glass is in good condition except for a small minor crack in upper passenger side of windshield and side windows roll up and down. This car also has a heater, stereo and Ididit tilt steering column. It has a small trunk which holds the fuel tank and batteryand there is a small storage area. The body has perfect 85 year old patina which is why I haven’t painted the body.It is all great looking original steel. This steel is too nice to paint and hide the great shape that the car is really in. The title is the correct title for this car and is titled as a 1931 which it should be. This is one sweet hot rod and a real attention getter.I know I probably am missing some things, so please don’t hesitate to call or text (815) 252-8017.I have plenty of build pictures if needed. This is also being sold locally so I have the right to remove this listing at any time. There is a $1000 deposit within 24 hours of listing. It is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange for shipment/cost.You are welcome to come and inspect the car at any time, please call the number above. Good luck and happy bidding!!!You will not be disappointed at all!!!!
