1967 Ford Mustang Description

Very clean rust free 1967 mustang convertible. Most panels have been replaced at some point in time inthis vehicles history or are factory rust free. This car is a factory C code vehicle. It has many new parts and runs and stops great.

BODY

This car is very straight, and again, rust free. the car suffered what looks like hail damage at some point in time. I replaced the decklid due to the number of digs. The hood is not as severe but has some little dings in the hood and fender tops. If you look for them you can see them but doesn't take away from the overall appearance. I'm trying to describe this car as accurately as possible. the replacement decklid is an original part and paint matches perfectly. I added a new gasket and makes decklid sit slightly out of alignment, may need adjusted. The paint overall looks nice and is very shiny. It has some imperfections but could be improved with a good detailing. Car was sitting a couple of years since paint was done and hasn't really had much road time since. I would rate it an above average driver quality paintjob that shows well. The car is an original Nightmist blue car with black interior and white convertible top according to the Marti report. The current blue is more like dark Ford blue. Looks great with the brand new white top which was just recently installed. the power top works perfectly and comes with a brand new boot still in the box. Tme doors open and close as they should. there is no sag to this car.

INTERIOR

The interior is a mix of standard, deluxe and aftermarket pieces to create a better look. Stainless dash and door panels, center console, (which is not wired), standard seats with deluxe emblems look great. some light primer looking overspray on the drivers seat which I really haven't got after to clean it up should, in fact, clean up. Needs the convertible top well. No rips in any of the upholstery, new carpet and door sill plates. Car also has the chrome rocker covers, next to the sill plates, previous owner said it had them factory. All glass good, windows roll up and down, alignment to top is good but not perfect. All lighting is working.

EXTERIOR

Bumpers are not brand new but show well, some minor scratches. Brand new mirrors. Other chrome in good condition, new rocker moldings and wheel well trim. Convertible top brand new an is white white, not parchment white. It is a glass window.

POWERTRAIN

The engine in the car is a 289 cu in 2bbl with a C4 trans and open 8 in rear end. Previous owner said it was a 1968 engine which was rebuilt. I don't have any other information New alternator, starter. Runs great, no leaks, and shifts as it should. Engine compartment is very clean.Factory Power steering works correctly and is not leaking. No smoke. New starter and alternator.

UNDERCARRIAGE

You would be hard pressed to find a cleaner undercarriage on a '67 convertible. floors, trunk, trunk drop-offs, frame rails and torque boxes are in great condition. This was done by a professional welder and done properly.Even wheel housings were replaced when this car was restored. (see photos). Brand new dual exhaust, new brake lines and fuel lines.

WHEELS, TIRES AND BRAKES

The wheels and tires are Brand new American Racing Torque Thrust D 16" rims with staggered tires front and rear,215 55/16 ft and 245 50 16 rr . They are back spaced for this era Mustang so no spacers or fender rub issues. The grey centers work well with the blue paint and white top. Brand new power master cylinder, calipers, and slotted roters.As previously stated, new brake lines. This car was a factory power disc brake car. Has a spare wheel but no jack. Can go to car shows as is, gets plenty of attention.

Just a few minor items that I mentioned need addressed. This car is sold as is and I welcome any inspections BEFORE THE END OF THE AUCTION. You will not be disappointed

This is not a show car but It does show well. I've done my best to present this car correctly, it is a very safe, solidcar.

If my Buy it Now is reached I will include a 4bbl manifold, gaskets and rebuilt carburetor with the sale. Can be negotiated after sale if interested in these partsotherwise. Thx
