1935 Ford Other Description

I bought the car in 2004 at a swap meet in Minn. I drove it one summer all original in 2007 then pulled it apart to streetrod it. Finished it two summers ago and have driven it a little over 9,000 miles trouble free. It’s time to let someone else enjoy it and move on.

The body, front fenders & hood are steel and the back fenders are Westcott glass. The running boards are Bob Drake vulcanized repros. I filled the roof, cowl vent & cowl seams. The headlight stands are shortened about an inch. Halogen sealed beams with invisible park & turn signals. Very nice repaired & replated original grill with shaved grill emblem. The car has new Bitchin floors from the toe board to the rear seat riser. Before the car went for paint I blocked it out at least 4 times. My so, a professional painter for a large GM dealership in Winnipeg painted it in Sikkens water base then clear. He then cut & polished it. The under side of the car is seam sealed & sprayed in box liner. The car was built to be driven.

The engine is a 1969 327 with Edelbrock E Street aluminium heads, a 327/350 hp Comp cam, Hei ignition with Taylor wires, Edelbrock Endurashine intake and 600 cfm carb with electric choke. The coated headers are Patriot. The valve covers are vintage 60’s Cal Custom ones that were polished then plated as was the Billet Specialties air cleaner to match. The pulleys, compressor, alternator, brackets, high volume water pump, power steering pump are all chrome for easy clean up. Engine has a vintage Cal Custom aluminium oil pan. The trans is a mid 80’s 700R4 with a shift kit with auto lock up and a 2200 stall converter. Both the engine & trans were built by professionals.

The chassis is from TCI with Mustang ll front with GM power disc brakes, power steering as well and a Currie 9” with a 3.7:1 posi rear with big drum brakes. The coil overs were upgraded to adjustable dampening ones. Has sway bars front & back & stainless brake lines. I ordered the chassis with the chrome & stainless pkg. and the frame is powder coated. Car has a Tanks 16 gal gas tank. The wheels are Billet Specialties Legacy’s 15x6 and 15x7 with 215 70’s & 255 70’s BFG TA’s The rad is a Walker Z series with 2 independantly controlled Spal fans. The interior was done by a local shop, Sew Fine Interiors, that has done a few cars for the SEMA show. It was done in a taupe colored leatherette with matching tufted carpet. I hand builtthe lower dash & console that is all steel and housesthe Ron Francis Express 22 wiring & fuse panel. The car has Vintage Airheat /cool/defrost, a chrome til, column shift, Iddit column with the dimmer switch in the tilt lever. The gauges are from Classic Instruments and have curved glass faces. Ithas an Iddit/ Rostra cruise control. It has a Kenwood stereo with 4 JBL speakers. The seat belts & steering wheel are from Julianno’s. The seat is from Glide Engineering. The windshield is fixed in place and does not crank out. The rear window cranks down manually. The door windows are New Relics power units. The side & rear windows are grey tempered glass. There is a compartmentbetween the cabin and the trunk that holds the battery & spare tire and has more storage room. From behind the seat back to the compartment there is plenty of room for luggage under the pkg. tray. The trunk opens remotely as a rumble seat but is carpeted except for the lid which matches the door panels. There are no seats.

If you send a commercial carrier there are no taxes, duties or tariffs to be paid but he has to use a broker, usually $200 to $250 to bring the car into the U.S. If you come personally the car is deemed a casual entry and it’s a simple matter of filling out a form at U.S. customs. I hear it’s a lot more involved for me to bring it across so I don’t want to do that. The car was originally a ’36 and is registered as a 1936 Ford and carries it’s original VIN. I don’t want any trades of any kind! This isn’t the first car I’ve built but it is the last, so I bought the best parts & used the best people I knew for stuff I farmed out. I built this car in my garage and put every nut & bolt ( mostly all stainless) in it so if you need more info, call me at 1-204-482-3479 Thanks.
