2000 Ford Excursion Limited Description

2000 Ford Excursion Limited. 7.3 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel. 4x4. Truck runs great. Everything works. I bought it from the original owner in Oklahoma. I've driven it all over the country and never had an issue. The only rust on the truck is what you see on the frame. Surface rust where the original coating has peeled. The body panels have zero rust. The body is as solid as it was new. It has new factory sized BFG KO2 tires. The only custom parts were to help with towing our quad trailer. 4" Exhaust. Exhaust has no muffler because I like the sound but for an additional fee I can install a muffler. Also has an Edge CTS Insight monitor to watch transmission temperatures and other parameters. I upgraded from the factory transmission cooler to a 31 row transmission cooler meant for a 6.0 Powerstroke. The upgrade is over twice the size of the old transmission cooler. This lowered the temperatures by over 40 degrees which is huge in prolonging the life of the transmission. An addition to the transmission upgrade was installing a Sam Wyse valve body as well as a new filter and Amsoil transmission fluid. Sam Wyse is one of the premier builders of 4r100 transmissions. A quick Google search will lead you to his shop. PHP Hydra chip. This is the best chip on the market for the 7.3 and all tunes are extremely safe. The truck gets close to 21mpg cruising and 16 around town with it on. I also put an aftermarket air filter on for better breathing but I do have the factory air box. I installed captains chairs in the middle row from an Eddie Bauer edition. They obviously don't match the gray leather but make it so much easier to load our kids in the truck with them. I still have the original gray leather bench for the middle row that is in excellent condition as well. I changed the headlight housings from the 2000 style to the 2005-2007 Super Duty truck style as well as added LED headlights. Minor blemishes are shown. Small dent in the front bumper just under the center of the grill from the previous owner. Driver seat starting to wear. Minor scratches. The plastic on the back glass is peeling. The paint on the side mirrors has peeled as well. I absolutely love this truck and will not be sad if it doesn't sell but my wife has decided she would like to have a new diesel truck for herself so I am willing to let this one go to make that happen. I have a video of the truck running that I can send to a prospective buyer. If you are in the market for a 7.3 Excursion, this one will not disappoint. Mileage is current as of 2/16/17 but will go up as I drive this truck almost everyday.
*Edit
A gentleman emailed me asking about the discrepancy in my claim that it is a two owner truck and eBay saying it is a five owner truck. Here is my reply:
Good question. The old man I bought it from, bought it early in 2000. My buddy actually bought it for me while I was in Korea and I bought it from him. He parked it in his garage for 7 months until I came home. It's possible the person I bought it from may have bought it technically used with very little miles on it. Like a demo maybe??? His title said he had it in 2000. So I'd say 4 is possible technically but I couldn't tell you where that fifth one is coming from.
