1951 Ford Other Victoria Description

1951 Ford Victoria

This is it! Ford’s very first ever two-door hard top. It has been said that the 1951 Victoria was one of the most well-proportioned cars ever to come off the Dearborn assembly lines. Boasting such options as the 3 piece wrap around back glass, drip rails that extended over the windshield, and extra trim The Victoria had a lot of subtle and not so subtle differences that set this model apart from all of the others.

This particular Vicky started life with the Standard, for Victoria, flathead V-8 and optional Ford-O-Matic Trans. This is a completely rust free California car that doesn’t seem to have ever had a patch panel.

The original power train was cleared to make room for a more modern, reliable and powerful 5.0 and c4 Automatic. There is approximately 15,000 miles on this build as this car has been driven to shows all over California. It sees daily use often as I love driving it and the Aerostar springs and rear air shocks make this car ride very nice for as low as it sits. I also recently purchased the new 6.70 15 FIRESTONE wide whitewall tires they have maybe 1500 miles on them. While, this Shoebox has earned first in class in every show it has actually entered, I would consider the condition to be excellent driver quality as opposed to a true show car. The vehicle has some road rash as it is driven often. It is VERY reliable!

This car is super straight, and shows this off with is 2 year old 2 stage jet black paint. There is no weather stripping on the trunk and this has led to some light chipping around the trunk. It also has an emblem removed from the deck lid and one from the hood as well. The factory holes are still there, they are just covered by black vinyl dots. It has very nice grey cloth interior with two lap belts in the front and 3 in the rear. AM FM radio and CD player with Aux jack hidden in glove box. The dash is complete, uncut, and beautiful as is the steering wheel. There is a gauge cluster under the dash with operational Fuel, Volts, Temp and oil pressure gauges. The ignition and headlight switch are on this panel as well. Turn signals and horn are currently not functioning. The locks are keyed for the door and trunk and the factory ignition switch, which is not hooked up.

This car is in great reliable mechanical condition and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Under the hood is clean and simple and not very showy, same with the trunk area.

I am setting the reserve very low for this car. Please email any questions you may have prior to bidding.
