Stk. 2226 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-C This Mustang is somewhat of a celebrity. In 2012 Charlotte Motor Speedway sponsored a tribute to Carroll Shelby. Our 2008 GT-C was one of thirty Mustangs on display to honor 'old Shel'. It was also featured in a television commercial. (A video of that ad is included with the sale.) All 2008 Mustang GT-C models were painted Vista Blue - almost. A limited number (215) were Grabber Orange and all were sent to California. Our one-owner GT-C was purchased in June '08 and shipped directly to Charlotte with 11 miles on the odometer. Starting out life as a factory GT every GT-C received a vast array of enhancements at the Shelby facility in Henderson NV. Suspension upgrades included: Ford Racing springs shocks sway bars and strut tower bracing. Each 4.6L 3-valve cammer engine earned Shelby tuning and a Ford Racing cold-air intake that resulted in 319 flywheel horsepower. Backed by the Tremac TR-3650 five-speed manual transmission and stock differential with 3.55:1 gears this Mustang will keep you back in your seat. Our owner added 14" Brembo front rotors/calipers (from the Boss 302 Track Pack program) and Shelby FR-4 18" alloys with Z-rated performance radials. The stock rear exhaust was also upgraded with a Corsa system. Other than these modifications this car is original. The Grabber Orange finish with the silver strips is in very good condition. Inside the Black leather interior looks all but new. Features include: climate A/C power tinted windows cruise tilt power seats/locks keyless entry and a factory 'Shaker 1000' AM/FM/CD/Changer stereo.
