This is a completely unrestored 1965 Mustang coupe with it's factory original 289 HiPo K code engine and 4 speed transmission. This is a standard Mustang coupe with no "GT" package or special options. The car is showing 70,291 original miles. The car was brought to Arizona from Iowa back in May of 1973 and resided in AZ ever since. The car was last registered back in 1989 and sat outside in the baking AZ sun to present. The engine and transmission have never been opened up or rebuilt. After 25+ years the engine was drained of it's old fluids and the old gas was drained. The engine was started again in November 2015. The engine runs and sounds great!! The brakes were gone through and the car runs and drives. The interior of the car is completely baked and will need new seat covers, dash pad, door panels, carpet, and headliner. The exterior paint is completely sun baked off of the top side of the car. The only rust is in the drivers rear quarter, passenger front lower fender, and a few minor small pin holes in the passenger floor. The driver side floor did have a hole below the pedals so it was recently patched (about a 12"x8" patch panel). The front and back frame rails, torque boxes, trunk pans, rear floor pans, cowl, inner fender wells are all perfect. The car has very minor and little rust.
This Mustang has all of it's factory unique 289 HiPo equipment. It was never messed with and nothing was ever changed. The car is in it's "as found" condition and would make an excellent restoration project or just drive it as is. Even in it's current condition, the car gets a ton of interest and attention.
This "K" code Mustang is truly an unrestored and unmolested car!! Everything is there!!
