1971 mach 1 mustang "M" code 351C Original 73k Survivor Orig Paint tach/gauges
1971 Ford Mustang mach 1 Description
This is a very rare exampleof a true survivor mach 1 mustang . From its original owner who had the foresight to keep all the original documentationthat was so often discarded back in the day he saved even the original window sticke, the original envelope from the train rail with key, the original warrantyplat, bill of sale and kept all the original inspections documenting the mileage from year to year to help bolster the claim of the original 73k mile, as if the original bod, pain, interior and engine drive line are not enough . The car was ordered with the 351 C "M" code 4V which gave you the C6 transmission, 9 inch rea, dual exhaust, and competition suspension with staggerd rear shocks . It was also ordered with factory full length console and cloc, gauge packag, factory tac, and an AM radio . The car lived its whole life in VA where it was sold to me just last year . It has never been restore, taken apar, painted or abused . It has resisted most of the usual upgrades but not all . It did have both front and rear spoilers adde, a circa 1980's am-fm 8 track radio ( shaft style no holes cut in dash bezel , and a factory tilt column with power steering box was added ( I have the original components) . I have an original AM-FM ford mach 1 mustang radio for the car . The car runs and drives very well . The front end has been completely gone throug, new brake, brake line, shocks exhaus, and tires . The body is all original as well as the pain, never damaged or repaired . it has not been detailed/polishedand a good buffing by hand would make it even nicer ( I did start with the hood the other day just too cold out ) . There is a spot under hood closer to cowl on passenger side where a ground touches the hood when closed that has caused a spot less then the size if a quarter but barely if at all noticeable . There is a small spot on the passenger rear inner quarter that can not been seen, impossible to photograph where the inner wheel well meets outer side I can feel with my fingers . the car has a few minor dings, chips but overall very, very nice . Interior is also very nic, everythingworks from the hor, wiper, turn signal, blower fan, radi, cigarettelighte, all interior illuminatio, only theclock is not working . Engine has not been opened u, newer water pum, np performance modifications have been done . it does have the petronics installed for better ignition ( no points ). Car is not really being used anymore, I no longer have the ability to garage it and pains me to see it outside when it was garaged since new from its original owner in 1971- 201, hopping to find an owner who can better care for it . Also the floor, shock towers are perfect all original sheet metal no undercoating or painted surfaceshiding anything . Trunk is perfect as is deck li, all originalseam seals on bottoms of door, cowl has NO RUST usually found in theses car, As solid and original as you can find . If your looking for an honest original un adulterated car this is a great candidate . The front bumper and fenders line up as good as I have see, doors close as you would expect, solid no sagging hinges, original glass in car .I removed the spoilers when i first purchasedthe car as I do not care for them, they have since been added back on, bolt on in minutes. I can be reached @ 516-467-6890 if you have any questions about the ca, the reserve is in the high teens .
