Over the next few moments I will attempt to give a brief description regarding the cars history, condition & drivability.

This classic Mustang was assembled at the Ford plant in Metuchen New Jersey & delivered to McCafferty Ford in Langhorne Philadelphia.

By all accounts the original owner (an electrical engineer) had fallen in love with the Mustang brand since its inception but, had never could seem to act on his impulse to purchase.

That all changed the day that he walked into the dealership and spotted this one.

According to the second owner the car was used extensively as a driver over the first few years.

Around eight years later it would serve mainly as a backup vehicle for the family since they had acquired their new 1978 Ford Fairmont.

Eventually somewhere in the mid eighties the Mustang found itself parked for over a decade (mostly used for pleasure cruises).

*Getting up to speed*

A well known car collector and local town administrator caught wind that the car was possibly going to be up for sale so he contacted the original owner. A deal was later struck “to his pleasure” and a meticulous restoration was started (in 2009) that wouldn’t reach its climax until (Nov / 2015).

One of the first things he took on was the task of restoring the cars original exterior & appearance.

This would be done first by reaching out to the renown Mustang aficionado (Rex Hoffman) to replicate the exact shade (P-Code / Winter Blue) that she left the factory with.

Once this had been done he appointed Mag Automotive Restorations to prep the body and apply the paint.

Being a limited ownership / accident free vehicle paid huge dividends leaving little body work to be completed.

Yet many man hours were invested preparing the car for its makeover however most of the work involved ensuring proper fit & finish.

The painting process alone took over five weeks to be completed. That being said it only it only takes a millisecond to appreciate the cars exterior (well worth the wait)!

The paint on the car is almost blinding in direct sunlight! The base coat clear coat method was used to administer the paint to the body panels so the exterior is smooth to the touch!

The exterior is free from various imperfections that you tend to find associated with amateur body work.

Let me say at this point “you can’t take the car a city block” without getting the “ole thumbs up”!

RANDOM STRANGERS ALWAYS APPROACH SNAPPING PICTURES WITH THEIR CELL PHONES! “WARNING IF YOU’RE NOT A PEOPLE PERSON THIS MAY NOT BE THE CAR FOR YOU”!

The Brilliant Blue exterior is truly striking & maintains a high gloss shine at any given time of day! A perfect set of lower GT side stripes grace the rocker panels wonderfully while providing excellent contrast!

After the company was finished with the paint work they were instructed to replace all of the appointed chrome & stainless.

This was in accordance with the owners demands so you can expect to find superior M.C.A approved pieces installed from bumper to bumper!

Some of the chrome / stainless moldings were simply refurbished to keep the car original where it counted!

The hallmark signature corral horse is in excellent shape & so are all of the other grill assembly components!

This Mustang has nice front & rear bumpers along with correct bumper bolts & brackets!

Displaying pony pride is a breeze when onlookers are focusing on the shiny new Mustang gas cap located on the rear of the car!

Reminding folks of the good ole days on route 66 is also a cinch, thanks in part to a nostalgic sport racing mirrors!

An OMINIOUS warning is given to 350 Chevy small block fans on the nostalgic hood scoop proudly boasting that no (302 lays under the hood…..351 badges)!

The fender script is in stellar condition and the Ford licensed Mustang trunk letters are in excellent shape as well!

The factory side markers & other bezels have stood the test of time!

The quality and condition of this car is truly remarkable!

Again this is a limited ownership vintage vehicle that has been garaged and cared for throughout its life!

Many of the intricate details that are typically ignored by hobbyist when restoring classic cars were given special attention to on this car.

This beauty also has a spank brand new Dutch White quality power top installed that lowers with ease!

The manufacturer of the canvas is TMI ….they are a proven supplier that has been producing high end tops for many years.

The restoration shop went above the call of duty when undertaking the task of replacing it! They even serviced the convertible top pump, lines & hoses.

Dropping this top with confidence is no problem at all!

Many owners and collectors tend to neglect the fact that these components need to be replaced if they are original to the car. Failure to address the needed preventative maintenance / service on the previously mentioned parts results in frustration and very expensive repairs!

No worries here …. all of the hard work has been done for you she’s ready for years of trouble free enjoyment!

This beautiful Mustang also received new tacking stripes and rear window! You will find yourself longing for 70 degree days!!!

You will take notice that this pony has good glass throughout the entire vehicle! Not one piece is cracked or damaged!

Now that we have talked about this phenomenal Mustangs exterior lets discuss what she has to offer inside.

Upon opening the door of this 69 you will find a very inviting interior!

Many upscale & deluxe Ford appointments can be found throughout! The classy yet rare wood grain dash panel commands your attention almost immediately! This luxury item was mainly reserved for Fords super star lineup such as the Mach, Grande & other special models. The dash still happens to be in great condition without any damage worth mentioning.

What would a savvy Mustang be without the every so desirable rim blow steering wheel? Whatever the answer is we will have to wait to find out “this one’s fully equipped”!

Not trailing far behind in the luxury department are the equally impressive deluxe door panels!

These beautifully crafted panels look as if they’ve been wrapped in plastic since 69….and yes the door lights work perfectly!

All of the covers front to rear are in excellent shape as well! This pony was afforded new cushions as well to ensure proper lumbar support! Cruising it for extended periods is extremely enjoyable!

The cockpit area of this vehicle takes you back to a time when cars were created with character!

The dash pad is in excellent shape & all of the gauges are functioning properly (rare)!

The remainder of the interior was restored ala cart over the next year. This includes but is not limited to (loop pile carpet “excellent shape”, kick panels, sill plates, etc)!

You won’t find a classic Mustang that has a more user friendly & comfortable interior than this one has!

No stone was left unturned to make sure that this cars interior was ready for prime time!

Joining in the fight to help protect this Mustang from the elements is a stellar set of custom colored durable Running Pony Floor mats!

Taking it out of the garage for any excursion is a treat!

Again this Mustang has it all! It is a perfect car for the individual who has been waiting to get into the game for the first time or a great piece to add to your collection!

Now that I have given several reasons why you should love this Ford…… Let’s talk about yet why a few Chevy guys hate it!

No Mustang can truly be considered a muscle car without having a factory V/8!

The heart and soul of this horse is its STOUT factory 351 engine block! The factory engine block was rebuilt in 2012! There has been less than 3500 miles put on it since the rebuild.

This motor was treated to top of the line parts before she was released back to the owner.

Horse power & Torque are optimal! This block received hardened valve seats to burn modern unleaded fuel before being reassembled! Most vehicles built in the 1960’s era were forced to be ran using leaded gas!However the fuel provided today is unleaded. Unfortunately most of the classic cars today have not had this very important piece of equipment added! There are many costly repairs that will arise because of it (including massive horsepower loss)! No worries here…..this stallion is up to date & very reliable!

Mustang Muscle located in Southern Missouri provided the internals. These parts consist of Ford Motor Craft performance Cam bearings, machined rods, hypereutectic pistons, machined performance valve springs & Zanetol rocker arms!

The original intake received new gaskets and there was also a remanufactured period correct carburetor!

SHE’S DEPENDABLE AND A STRONG RUNNER!!!!

This V/8 motor has plenty of giddy up and accelerates with ease! She’s ready for the open road!

This pony also has a wonderful chambered exhaust system that helps provide a performance kick on command! The muscle car theme is played out each and every time you decide to mash the throttle!

Although the car can be considered a cruiser there’s plenty of power on tap!

It turns over with just a flick of the key at the slightest touch “truly a thrilling ride”!

LET’S LISTEN TO HER RUMBLE!!!

You’ll never want to return to the garage!

It can be cruised without issue for hours at a time “very dependable”!

There is also a brand new radiator installed that helps keep it cool under the hood!

Preventative maintenance has not been overlooked either.

The car has recently had new plugs, wires, thermostat, fuel pump, battery, hoses, belts, starter and just too much more too list!!!

This Ford still has all of the water mark decals in place that were sanctioned by Ford (looks amazing)!

You will have no problem holding your head high at the local car shows!

This one was of course afforded the optional disc brake system from the factory! It has been totally gone through (clean bill of health) as well.

To top things off there is an excellent set flawless 15 inch Magnum 500 wheels installed on this Ford!!! Looks great “stops traffic”!

To compliment the mag wheels a spank brand new set of raised white letter performance tires has been installed!

Guys driving all the modern muscle cars today can’t help but tip their cap when you’re on the road (no expense spared)!
