1964 Fairlane Sports Coupe 500
This was originally a 6 cylinder, automatic car. Bought from a little old lady whose father in law bought new from Ford. Her husband had plans of restoring it but passed away before getting around to it. I bought it from her, promising to clean it up and get it back on the road. Unfortunately, circumstances have changed slightly and a move out of state means this thing needs to move along to someone new. This was absolutely a complete, stock, unmolested car when I took ownership of it. There was only one piece of rain moulding trim missing, which I have not yet purchased. Otherwise, all parts to put this car back together are included, plus many spares/extras of parts that are hard to find.
The original plan was to build a well-designed, well-handling pro touring type car while still keeping it very streetable. For the most part that plan has been followed, though in some areas the build process got a little overboard with customization. Along the way, the thought of someone wanting to add their own touch later was constantly in mind. This car could very easily be converted to a 3-link or torque arm setup, and the rear shock mounts would act as great coilover mounts. Same with the drivetrain mounts. They are simple polyurethane mounts that could easily be adapted to other combinations without having to cut the car up. There is no rust or rot issues in any area of this car. I have pictures from the day I took ownership, through the build process, and up to current day. Feel free to ask questions or for specific pictures if you'd like.
This is a complete car including bucket seats, center console (in great shape), as well as radio, dash pieces, gauge cluster, all interior trim and original pieces. These smaller pieces are boxed, labeled and ready to be polished so they can be reinstalled. There are extras of some things, like tail light buckets, headlight rings, interior stainless trim pieces, window trim pieces, etc. Everything I have collected that is Fairlane related will be included in the sale.
Included is as follows:
*1964 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe
*Freshly Rebuilt .030” Overbore 302 with 600cfm 4150 Holley Carb (converted with secondary metering block) Complete Carb to Pan Including Fuel Pump, Accesory Pulleys, New 3G Alternator, Roller Rockers, Weiand Intake, Comp Cam, Comp Lifters, TrickFlow Pushrods, guideplates, etc.
*Freshly Rebuilt(completely) C4 Automatic Transmission w/ later valve body. New Ford Slip Yoke Included.

*Ford 9” Rearend Housing Narrowed to the Correct Width to Fit Wheels/Tires Under the Car. New 31 Spline Axles and Ford Racing Disc Brake Kit
*Custom Designed Front Suspension w/ Coilovers(not purchased yet) (not a Mustang II generic kit, but an actual suspension designed specifically for this car. 3D Models Available, along with all Geometry Dimensions), and Rack & Pinion Steering. Removable Center Crossmember for Oil Pan Removal. Loosely bolted together currently. Will need to be aligned and finalized.
* Factory Steering Column modified to be kept inside the car so that only the steering shaft comes through the firewall. This gives a much cleaner look over the huge hole in the firewall from the factory. Shift lever removed, filled with billet machined button plug.
*Custom Rear Suspension Including New TCP Rear 5-Leaf Springs w/ Custom Front Tubular Crossmember, Adjustable Front Spring Mounts, Adjustable Billet Shock Mounts, Custom Leaf Spring Plates. This was designed to be easily converted to coilovers and torque arm in the future. Upper shock crossmember is in place, and links could be attached to front leaf spring mounts.
*4-Wheel Disc Brakes Using All Ford Parts (SN95 Brakes up front, FRPP Rear Disc Brake Kit)
*Large 30” wide Aluminum Radiator Custom Fit for this car

*All Glass Good but Needs Polishing. Front and Rear Glass Removed Currently.
All suspension and steering has been completed. The car would require paint, interior, wiring, plumbing, small odds and ends (master cylinder, driveshaft, etc.) and reassembly. The list above is the large items, though there are many smaller items not listed that will all be included. Front coilovers and rear shocks have not yet been purchased, but upon sale of the vehicle I will pass along dealer pricing on these items to the new owner. The interior floors have been painted back to the factory Wimbledone White color, and the firewall and underside have been sprayed semi-gloss black after being stripped of the factory undercoating (what a nightmare of a job!).
This is a $35k plus car once complete. Guarantee you won’t find another Fairlane with this amount of work and detail invested. Pick this up while you can, invest a little more and you’ll have a one in a million car for sure. This car is for sale locally as well, so I have the right to end the auction at any time due to a local transaction. I am only selling because I am moving out of state next month and need to focus on other things at the moment. It is heartfelt to see it go, but I hope it can be made into an excellent hot rod for someone.
I HAVE MANY MORE PICTURES THROUGHOUT THIS ENTIRE BUILD. IT WAS HARD TO DECIDE WHICH TO POST, SO LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO SEE SOMETHING SPECIFIC.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions if you have any. Message me through ebay or email me at ardent.indus@gmail.com
THERE IS NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WITHIN THIS AUCTION. WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES IS WHAT YOU GET.
Thanks for looking.

Sorry for all the additional pictures and information after the fact.
I was asked if bumpers were included with the car. They are included, but are not new chrome. They would need to be stripped and re-chromed.
I was also asked about the seats and glass. Both are included. All glass is good but needs to be polished. Bucket seats and rear seats are in decent shape for their age, meaning they are not completely ripped apart. Covers are for the most part in tact (a few small openings), foam is all there, seat frames are great.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions or ask for specific pictures.
I have this listed locally, and therefore reserve the right to end the auction early if the car does sell locally. Also, your bid is a contract, and is certainly not a pass to come and look at the car to see if you like it. If you want to come see it, do so BEFORE you bid.
Thanks everyone.
