1963 Ford Falcon Sprint V8 2 Door Hardtop Coupe Classic Collector No Reserve
1963 Ford Falcon Sprint Description
Up for auction is my 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint. Comes with a 260 V8 engine, and 3 speed manual transmission. Yes, a 3 speed manual was the standard transmissions for a Sprint of the assembly line. Excellent color combination of red, with red interior. For the exception of a poor paint job, and the poor upholstery work on the rear seat, it is all original. It runs very well. The brakes are great. It has 2 new rear tires, and a new gas tank w/sending unit. It does have an electrical issue to where the windshield wipers are stuck. Hmmm. He said a rock from his lawn mower cracked the driver's window. This was the daily driver of the previous owner. His repairs were to his own taste (take a look at the passenger door handle. Obviously he didn't want to spend $80 on a replacement). He attempted painting the car himself, but didn't realize that the car must be wiped down of contaminates prior to paint. There are bubbles throughout the car. It's a 20 footer, but I would strip it to bare metal. Underneath the car has fair amount of surface rust. The body is very solid, with the exception of the floor pan under the rear seat. The interior in all original, with the exception of the rear upholstery. The car has a clear Oregon title. This is a perfect base for someone who wants to restore a car, but drive it as you go. I tried to describe the car to the best of my ability. I welcome in person inspections. Hate to sell, but I have too many cars. Don't bid if you do not have any intention to pay! Bids placed by buyers who's feedback is less than 5, will be canceled, unless contacting me first.
