2003 Ford Focus SVT Description

One owner Ford Focus SVT ZX5 in good condition.
This vehicle has been my reliable daily driver for the last 13 years. Still running strong after all this time and I am still driving it to work at least three times a week 50 miles each way. Believe it or not, my gas mileage has gotten better over the years averaging 32-33 miles per gallon on the highway going 70-75 miles per hour with some triple digit runs in between. No collisions aside from car door and shopping cart dings.
The vehicle has not received any major modifications to the body or engine. Still has the stock SVT exhaust which is better than many aftermarket exhaust systems (exhaust and motor engineered in collaboration with Cosworth!) It does not have the stock five-spoke SVT wheels. I replaced them with 16x7.5 wheels - still looks good and definitely improved the ride quality.
Minor modifications include: short throw shifter and aftermarket head-unit with custom component speakers (JVC KD-AR8500 + 5.25 comp). 9mm aftermarket wires (Thunder Volts). A trailer hitch was added about 5 years ago for a bike rack and light weight towing (no larger than a 4x8)
Maintenance: Regular full synthetic oil changes since purchase. Timing belt and accessory drive belts were service at approx. 90k. AC was recharged this past summer 2016. Platinum plugs at 120k.
Repairs: New clutch and trans at 35k replaced by dealer (TSB issue). New (not salvaged/used) ECU at 136k . Stabilizer bar end rods were replaced last year. New front wheel bearings and right axle. **Note: this has caused the ABS warning light to come on but otherwise the car operates well and I have personally driven it in some rainy/snowy conditions with no issues. I purchased a new set of wheel bearings and hubs and the left drive axle but have not gotten around to getting it installed. These will be included. The brake rotors and pads were replaced last spring 2016 (about 14k ago). New set of HID capsules ( I have an extra set rated at 6000k). Windshield replaced at 124k. Fixed the gauge cluster backlight.
Interior: Good condition. Most of the wear is on the driver seat but there are no holes or tears on the upholstery. No nasty stains or odors.
Exterior: Good condition. Paint is still shiny except for the bumpers where there is some marked fading and peeling. There is come chipping on the hood. Still has the original HID headlight housing that I have cleaned and polished twice but is getting cloudy again. Small superficial rust spots on the hood and door. Superficial rust on the front and rear sub-frame.
Motor and Trans: Good condition. No oil leaks and I have not had to top-off the oil in between changes and there is no white smoke coming out the exhaust. The clutch is not slipping. The transmission is good with smooth gear changes.
Issues: Exhaust heat shields have all but fallen off. There is still one hanging on and this causes a rattle when taking off from a stop but is otherwise quiet while cruising. I already mentioned the ABS warning light. The original scissor jack broke and has not been replaced.
I must emphasize that interested buyers should take the car out for a drive. I am open to arranging a time and place to meet for this to happen.
