1939 Ford Other Standard Description

Better than a barn find!Must see!!
This is a rare find to come across one this complete and in this condition. This 39 Ford has been sitting in storage since 1971. The previous owner bought the car, drove it in his shop and started to restore the car. He did not get much past taking a few things off and ordering a bunch of parts before he got side tracked and then lost interest. This car would be awesome left as is, get it road worthy and drive... maybe lowered!!! The engine turns freely by hand. A rebuilt carburetor is in a box. There are a lot of NOS parts that come with the car that where ordered in the 70's. Including but not limited to a complete set of Bakelite knobs and handles, headlight lenses, bulbs, rear window rubbers, wiring harnesses, pedal pads, bearings, condensers, battery cables, points and the list goes on! The front end had been completely rebuilt and new brakes over the years... unknown condition of the brakes currently since sitting. The flathead is an 85hp which I am told was an upgrade...???The car has all of its original artillery wheels including the spare. All V8 hubcaps. The windshield still cranks out and the shifter feels nice and smooth. most of the original interior is in tact!! Doors shut very nicely with just a "click" to close them! One of the back glass got broke but I do have the other one along with new rubbers as mentioned. Underneath the car looks amazing!! The body has no rust that I have found at all. Only spots are a small area on drivers side floor and a small area in the trunk. Both are VERY easy fixes. The color is a beautiful blue and is mostly ORIGINAL PAINT!!!!!!! It has scratches but looks as though it would shine up nicely!!! Again, would be awesome driven as is! Great color combination. The fenders have some bumps and bruises but I think it adds to the character and history of the car. The wiring behind the dash had been unplugged and labeled in preparation to start a restoration so they will need to be reconnected. Very simple job it seems. The car is just plain cool and very complete and original. Restore, patina or street rod... it's up to the new owner. You are welcome to view the car in person PRIOR to bidding, as your opinion could vary. It is being sold AS IS.Don't miss out, they are getting harder to find like this.I am sure I will be asked my reserve or a buy it now so if you would like to make an offer, feel free to send me one, otherwise I would like to let the auction run so anyone interested has a chance to buy the car.
