1996 Ford Explorer Description

Selling my beloved 1996 Ford Explorer 4 door. Factory special ordered loaded but with a 5 speed manual transmission. One owner since new in 1996 until 2016. If you ever wanted a 4 door Explorer with a manual transmission this is probably the nicest one left. The pictures should speak for themselves but here is a short description of what has been done lately. The temp gauge stopped working so I replaced the speedometer cluster with a used one, so the mileage shows around 120k now. The correct mileage is about 210k, but as you can see from the pictures the vehicle as obviously been well cared for all its life. Explorers have common areas in the exterior sheet metal where they rust, usually around the rockers and rear wheel openings. These have been patched with metal, rust proofed, and painted. See pictures. Within the last 5000 miles the following items have been replaced with new parts:

4 tires

Brakes all the way around

Shocks all the way around

Lower ball joints

Upper control arms/ball joints

Steering Stabilizer shock

Battery

Drive belt

All fluids changed (engine, transmission, transfer case, both differentials)

Battery

New aftermarket LED fog lights

Roof rack

Vehicle is driven daily. Needs nothing. Will pass any State safety inspection. Starts, drives, and stops as it should. Please feel free to contact me if I have left anything out.
