1947 Ford COE Cab Over Engine
1947 Ford Other Pickups Standard Description
Up for sale I have my all original 1947 Ford COE Cab Over Engine. This truck spent 63 years of its life in Central Texas dry land. I purchased this truck about 7 years ago from the original family that used it on a cotton farm all its life. It was last licensed in the early 1970s. At that time it was parked as a running vehicle. When I purchased it the engine turned over by hand. I never tried starting it as my plans were to restore it back to its original state of life. This is one of the most solid ford cab overs I've yet to see. It is complete and ready for a new life. The only spot of rust is the right side Cab corner which can easily be fixed. It still has its original flat head V8, manual trans and single speed rear axle. The original owners lengthen the frame by approximately 4 feet. My plans were to completely restore the truck but I just do not have the time. The tires still hold air and the truck still rolls. The floors, doors, fenders, window frames, windshield channels, roof, rockers, grille, cowl etc are all solid without rot. As I said the only spot of rust through is the right Cab corner which can be seen in the pictures. I also have the FORD grille emblem which is included. I'm sorry about the rotated pictures. I'm posting this from my phone and had no idea they were going to post sideways.Thank you and good luck Scott.I can be reached at 419-389-7673

The white specs that look like holes are white paint from the grille bars flaking off.I want to make this clear.THE ONLY AREA OF RUST THROUGH IS SHOWN IN THE PIC OF THE RIGHT LOWER CAB CORNER.This is a very easy fix and I promise you will find no other areas of rust through. This was a 63 year old truck when it left Texas.
